funny.
I love Saint Christopher, but if I got a full album of it I'm pretty damn sure I'd hate it. Too lifeless and uneventful for me.

if I had to find a flaw with the album though, I'd say it's that in some tracks, he sings a verse, then just solos for the rest of the track, like on Anything New, Pretentious, or Light Seep.
Lovin those tracks, but I wish there was more singing, his voice works so well with funk. :\

there's some really brilliant production going on in much of the album but as a whole I'll unfortunately admit that I'm kind of underwhelmed, and disappointed. a lot of it kind of seems like filler... the denser, more interesting-sounding parts just don't last long enough(feminine eye, and that great vignette at the end of pretentious). his guitar work is still incredible, and while this album is seemingly different it still feels like its for the most part nothing really outstanding. kelson and pretentious are probably the most powerful. i agree with the post here that saint christopher is great but if i heard anymore like that i'd be bored.

but right now i just feel like id rather listen to his older stuff. this is all coming from a huuuge fan thats been all over his music since hand cranked came out. i approved of ambivalence avenue but even that album is getting less play time then say vignetting the compost(which admittedly has some sentimental attachment, so i'm reluctant to say its objectively "better" than his warp releases). maybe MB needs to grow on me more.

It's a good album, but nothing special so far in my opinion. Favourites are Mind Bokeh and Saint Christopher. I still like Vignetting the compost the best.

If Bibio never recorded another of his tedious "Camberwick Green meets Beck lo-fi on an off day" it wouldn't affect my life negatively at all. Warp Records have some excellent artists on the label like Broadcast, Plaid and Boards of Canada. Also, they are the home to many seminal classic electronica tracks of the 1990s, but of late they seem to be releasing albums which I personally don't enjoy. That is their prerogative, the type of music they wish to release now is very different to the genre of electronic music they became famous for. I'm very glad that they have provided so much brilliant music, for me, Richard H. Kirk's album Virtual State is more than enough on its own to justify the label's existence. But as far as Maximo Park, Bibio and quite a few of the other artists they currently host, I won't be buying any of their work because I think it is sub-standard twaddle!

I thought the new Bibio would be 1 of my favourites of this year, but so far Seefeel - Seefeel is still my biggest favourite for this year. We'll see if another BoC comes out, if not, I don't think any album can top Seefeel - Seefeel for me this year.

Still digging this album. Not blown away, but I -expected- to straight up dislike it, so I'm surprised, pleasantly.

I agree a number of the tracks are somewhat skippable, but I made it through the first 5 or 6 listens from start to finish without skipping any, so it passed that test at least.

My faves are Pretentious, Take Off Your Shirt, and Feminine Eye.

K is for Kelson was going through my head at work today, which made me happy.

Excuses is my favorite song on the album. The intro is really nice. Not a bad album overall.

it's not growing on me, I simply love it. Where AA couldn't turn me on although it was an impeccable record, this one does it. With AA I was afraid I was getting too old, so I didn't get completely.

The way he fucks up 'I love your smile', Masterly.

I think it's way more natural and a perfect blend.

Has anyone ever ordered a shirt from Bleep before? If so, what brand was it? There's no size-chart and I would be heart broken if it was too small.

No shrinking here, but I'm sissy enough to wash 'm by hand. My oldest boctee might be 5 or 6 years old and still in a wearable shape.

Wow , funny how this album has yet to come out but a lot of people have allready heard it several times and even formed a solid opinion about it !

Very 2011.
I'm gonna wait for the actual cd to hear it and be dissapointed.

Also , did Bibio make the video for 'Excuses' himself ? I would guess so but it wasn't ever mentioned?
The video footage itself is seriously awesome and looks like it took a long time to make.
