I'm looking forward to a new boards album as much as the next fan but if people can't smile about the excitement over a placeholder then it's quite a humorless world surely.

it -is- funny. it's funny even if you don't think of it as a derogatory view of people who are getting excited, it's just funny cuz it's silly. but it may well be true, for all i know, and i'm pretty enthused. i think it's possible to feel both ways!

Now predicting that the upcoming release will be initially divisive and oft-hated or referred to as "disappointing" before most of us come to our senses.
I bet they really get a kick out of this over at Hexagon Sun. It's like they're communicating with us in code. Next they will probably put up a Magic Eye picture that turns into a sequence of numbers which encode some minute detail about the new album or an audio loop that shows the album artwork when played through a spectrograph.
