Sesame Street
I grew up with the show. The little vignettes in the 80s were a lot different than they are now, but there's something so simple and magical about them. Maybe there's some connection to my fascination with BOC. A deep-tissue subconscious tickling or something.
The BOC songs with Sesame Street samples that I know of:
whitewater
an eagle in your mind
sixtyten
roygbiv
aquarius
It'd be so amazing to get those old episodes on tape or dvd.

I for one would love the idea of releasing old Sesame Street dvds. Perhaps even a BoC special edition is in line. I have to say that my Sesame Street days, although numerous, have gotten a bit blurry, but that's what makes the music experience so unique. To think that when I was innocently watching the show at the age of 5 or 6, that it would come up in such a significant way nearly twenty years later is mindblowing. Oh and don't forget "the color of the fire" for that list.

I did some searching for old clips. While no BOC-related stuff came up (yet) I did find the Teeny Little Super Guy --- remember him??

Check out this clip:

The song has been stuck in my head for three days now. I hope October comes quickly.....

In Holland we had our own Sesame Street called: Sesam Straat
The subjects were the same, but nothing of the <i>"deep-tissue subconscious tickling or something"</i>
Even the yellow bird (don't know his name) was totally different, he was blue, fat and named Pino...
So I don't have that special connection.

Apparently, they were supposed to be the first gay couple on television. Not that any of us knew that when we were kids. I also heard the creators made one of them die from aids to show children the harsh reality of life. (Not sure if that's actually true though)zander two wrote:Haven't you guys heard the rumours about these two? Undoubtedly there's some hanky panky going on, especially when Bert has that look in his eye.

I was so happy to find "Lowercase N" on audiogalaxy back in the day. Damn I gotta look for that again. I think it was this one n standing on a hill, and then another n landed in a spaceship, and they joined together and made an m....or something.
