If you've been watching the BBC's Stargazing Live over the last couple of days, you may have noticed Dayvan Cowboy, Pete Standing Alone and Olson all as incidental music. No doubt there'll be more to come between now and tomorrow.
I'll see you when the sun sets east, don't forget me.

The only place I've ever heard them is in Adult Swim bumps, which was also how I got into them, and the only time I've ever seen someone wearing a BoC shirt is when I look in the mirror.Fireal420 wrote:well, ive never heard boards of canada anywhere, unless i was playing it.
ive never seen a boards of canada advertisement, billboard, commerical, bumper sticker, or anything, not even a person wearing a shirt of their's, nothing.
funny cause i can say that about all of my favorite bands.
My sister has said she heard them on the radio before though.

Yesterday was a BoC day for me.
I was listening to the radio, a programme about this French résistant called Raymond Aubrac and I just heard Hi Scores played in the background. (you can hear it here :

then click on "le petit entretien" on the top right corner). It made my day but it wasn't over yet.
I went to the Interpol gig last night in Paris, it was at the Zénith which is a pretty big hall (6000 people). I just came in the hall and what did I instantly recognize? Amo Bishop Roden, which was played while people were waiting. Nobody seemed to care. I did.
I just love when this happens!

I was at a restaurant in Los Angeles a while ago that was playing a couple of tracks off Geogaddi. It was very, very strange. It was a nicer restaurant (my girlfriend's mom has $$) and I seriously doubted anyone there new BoC. Either way, it was nice to have some good tunes to listen to while I ate.

I heard something from MHTRTC at a Starbucks across from the American Embassy in Berlin in December. Didn't know how to feel about it.

I'm going to go there and listen to Geogaddi until I transcend.

Ah yes, I looked up the station I get on my TV called "Galaxie Chill Lounge"
Come and chill out at The Chill Lounge. The hip, swanky, and groovy sounds of soft electronica, trip hop, acid jazz and downtempo. Leave this channel on all day and night to set the atmosphere to chill, or tune in as an ideal aural landscape for a dinner party or evening cocktails. These smooth grooves and mellow beats will remind you of the hot clubs of the world that define the hip lounge culture. Leave it to us to program the best sounds for you from Prefuse 73, Boozoo Bajou, Biosphere, Boards of Canada, Thievery Corporation, Goldfrapp, the Orb and many more.
I've heard Biosphere multiple times on there too, it's a great station

I play BoC so much while driving that when I hear it outside of that, I don't recognize it at first. When I was on the laptop and Adult Swim had a 15-second commercial with "Under The Coke Sign" playing, it took me a few seconds where I was like "...Is that fucking BoC?"
They played it on a radio station my boss was listening to at work once. But it was "Dayvan Cowboy", not like it was "Sequoia" or anything.
