Thanks a bunch, man!

EDIT: They sound nothing like I would expect, by the way.

I don't know, they sound way more down-to-earth - even though I've never thought they were mysterious forest-dwelling sorcerer types, I thought they'd sound more quiet and reserved.

There are no known recordings from the Peel session separate from what was broadcast on the air. It's not clear if "Bad Day" is a different unheard song or just an alternate name for Happy Cycling. The only hint is from the session listing on the BBC's page:
# Happy Cycling (Changed From Bad Day)

what I mean is, the early version of happy cycling that was broadcast but for some reason did not end up on the peel session release.

I think it means that originally they were going to do a song called "Bad Day" but then changed their minds and decided to do Happy Cycling..at least that's what I got from the BBC link

IMO Bad Day really isn't all that different to Happy Cycling - assuming what I have is Bad Day (it's labelled as such). It IS different, but still recognisably Happy Cycling, just in an earlier form.

Is it known why they didn't include XYZ with the CD release?

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere (sorry if so & I'll delete this post) but here is a pic of Maida Vale 4, the studio XYZ was broadcast live from. First time I've seen a pic of it.

sorry to dig up a old thread, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't reposting :)

I stumbled across this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVUGNVjH ... re=related and was so excited!!!

I saw it was from a few years ago and figured it must have been talked about on here. I was thinking it was going to be a fake...until i heard Peel's voice! Nice little chatter before and after the song - I love me some BoC.
