I didn't know about all of these remixes. it sounds like lone has been in kind of a rhythmic rut with everything after ecstasy and friends. almost all of the beats are a standard 4 on the floor house beat, which has proven awesome in a lot of songs and works really well. that's fine, that's what he chooses to do, and respect to that. but I know that he's capable of making some really creative beats, just listen to some of everything is changing color. I love that track white light. I would welcome the use of other percussion sounds other than the 808 with open arms.

The stuff on Emerald is the best he's done, in my opinion. I never lived 'Everything is changing colour' as a whole(though 'Time Was a Spiral' has been my mobile phone ringtone for a few years now), 'Lemurian' was pretty excellent, but I couldn't get into 'Ecstasy and Friends' at all.

Maybe his new stuff isn't as cohesive as his earlier stuff, but I think it's better music.

So, what do you guys think about the EP? My opinion: although more of the same, it's great. Again.

sounds the same as emerald fantasy.... if you haven't checked it out, listen to his track animal pattern on soundcloud. he hit a home run with that one for the first time in a long time.

Yeah man, sounds more like his old stuff.

By the way, isn't Echolocations out now? When's the digital download getting here!

I love it! Coreshine Voodoo is amazing! :) What a nice day and a nice EP! And Rapid Racer must be one of my favorite reiv-tracks for this year.

Yeah my thoughts exactly. He hasn't really gone anywhere too new, but it's still a solid EP. Although none of tracks have had to large of an emotional impact on me I have to admit.

Quoting an interview:

" - You’ve got a new EP on R&S called Echolocations- what does it sound like?

- It’s from the same sessions as my last album Emerald Fantasy Tracks I put out last year. It’s kind of putting an end to that style I was working on really. It definitely continues that nostalgic rave vibe from Emerald. "

That's interesting, I really hope he does move back towards the Lemurian style. I want more stuff like Arista Tape Groove:

Cool!! Can't wait for him to return too. Although I loved his last releases, I slightly prefer his early work. Would love to see some unreleased goodies come to life.

Echolocations is great, but wouldn't mind to hear more stuff like 'Lemurian & Everything Changing Colour'

Put up a new Lone remix which isn't really his usual style http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40bgfLjpSrU
