I have friends who are way into Mumford. There's a public radio station here called the Current that plays them at least a few times a day, and has had them in studio n what not. I think its good stuff but I don't actually listen to them. I enjoy the occasional song to come on the radio but thats about as far as I'm willing to go with them.

Huge in the UK. Can't make my mind up. Something about them is as genuine as a Japanese Elvis. Maybe it's the waistcoats and faux-folk while sporting full-on Cockney accents? I can't be sure.

They're probably harmless.

This.

They seem to provoke a lot of hatred here in the uk. I actually like their album - it's 'pleasant'. Not earth shattering, but some nice tunes, nice instrumentation. Inoffensive.

Listened to it a lot on holiday last year in the Highlands.

its something to do with the constructed image of their sound and look. it doesn't feel real for me...nonetheless, its some of the better commercial material out there at this moment in time.

This. Definitely riding on Arcade Fire's coat tails. Any band with a 'uniform' can jog on for me. I don't give them long...Moderate second album and will then disappear when people tire of their image.

My sister and I swap music sometimes and she sent me this a few months back. I hopped around a few songs and had no interest in more than that, so I ended up deleting it because I knew it would be on of those albums that just sits in my music library unplayed, taking up hard drive space.

Mumford & Sons - sounds like a dodgy removal firm. Also, I think their music is bland. They should rename themselves the Dukes Of Tedium if you ask me.
Cheers,
Will

Chris Moyles radio show followed by a Mumford & Sons gig, that is as near to the notion of a weekend in hell as I'll hopefully ever get!

I was dragged along to see Mumford and Sons in Green Man fest last year, and given the left-field lineup was a bit of a travesty. Nonetheless the atmosphere was amazing! Everyone was doing the hoedown and everything was happy and good... despite me being kind of unimpressed by their musi beforehand.

That was a badass festival

my mom likes them, so obviously i heard it sometimes visiting my parents. I was never impressed, in fact, i found their music a little irritating. I can't really put my finger on it. Perhaps because it has a fake feel.

I also know this band primarily via your mom haha. And no, not for me. My musical taste is too eclectic to enjoy them.
