Minus the drugs, I've had similar experiences like that. Sounds amazing. Very bittersweetdono wrote:I was at 10,000ft on the back porch of my cabin in the rockies, it was dark outside. There was snow everywhere. I was sitting out there looking through the forest down at the city lights far away in the distance, having a smoke. Dawn Chorus flowed into my head, I could see my breath and the lights in the town below were slowly flickering. I sat out there all night with a good friend, psychedelics, and Boards of Canada.
It was such a horrible, and amazing time in my life. Those memories are the epitome of nostalgia for me. They are haunting, yet I miss them so much. Since then I have stopped using drugs, but the amazing music will never change.
There is a lot more to that story, but for now, I suppose that is all.
BoC as a soundtrack to life.

I have KOSS ones atm, because I like how rich the bass is. But there are better like Seinnheiser , Brainwavz, Klipch etc.. but KOSS KE-series are bargain if you like massive bass-oriented sound. And they isolate outside noise very well.Rodheh wrote:
Hmmm, most ear plugs aren't that great of quality though. Do you have special ones?

Cool.
Yeah, I don't do earbuds myself. Don't fit in my ears too well and I prefer headphone quality.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

I remember driving along some lake in Olympic National Park in the US with two friends of mine. The sun had set a couple of hours before, we were completely alone on the road and were listening to my Ipod Shuffle. Some random song ended and "Music is Math" started playing. We all got quiet. I can still feel the eeriness of it all.

Parents can surprise you. My 69-year old father loves BOC. Though every time he asks "who is this?" and I answer him, he goes off on a tirade against the actual Film Board of Canada, who produced a feature film he wrote and, so he claims, completely ruined it by making it as boring as possible.
