i'll probably be high cuz i'm high whenever i don't have to be anywhere for the rest of the day, which coincides with when i feel in the mood to take in a new album by a favorite band.

It's coming.
Woooo hoooooo!! Bring it on, I say.

My birthday is on the 31st. I hope a release date comes out then (fingers crossed).

Could you please post a link? The name MDG posted last in November '10 on Twoism. At WATMM, I did not see MDG's name on the member list.

Yeah Ill definitely listen to it sober first. Haha and that's understandable, Geogaddi + 'cid is one bloody intense experience.

I remember when I first heard Animal Collective's Merriweather Post-Pavilion, loudly and through my headphones, expecting something totally different to how it turned out. I have never been so struck by music no matter how altered my perceptions might have been. Sober, loud and unassuming for me!

Has to be sober first. Later though, heh.

First time I heard "Ready Lets Go" high I could swear I could actually SEE those little fluttery sparkly things drifting down.

If they've been really busy with their lives for the last few years, I guess they've learned and experienced a lot of things, so I think the new album will be really interesting to hear. They may had some profound changes in their lives that'll have an influence on their music! Didn't one of the brother become a father?

fuck, no way. if i was living in a country where i could smoke weed without worry of instant incarceration, it would be in a darkened room after several bong hits, speakers perfectly positioned for true stereo dynamic and just lie on the floor.

You say that, but it's amazing how many people here seem to forget/ignore that.

So, has anybody here been digging for clues? I mean I guess there's probably nothing to find, but are there any solid new rumors about the new release?
Probably not, because you'd hear it here first I guess.
I'm tired... I'm not even sure what I mean.
I just want some SOLID official news, not cryptic teases.

the only available clues are the ones they've given us. and that was a black box. how can you dig when you don't know where to start?

Some people over at WATMM think that Joyrex gave a clue about the name of the new album:

"Hopefully once the Radio Silence ends, (or begins, as it were), we'll know more or at least begin to inquire the status of any further releases."

Hmmm

i hate watching the cycle of impatience come back to this segment time and again. excitement dies down, gives way to frustration, which makes people type stupid posts at 4 in the morning like I JUST NEED AN ANSWER and of course, the great internet sport of badmouthing mdg and making yourself look like a huge freaking asshole

and when Joyrex gets mentioned in any capacity that's when i know my people are suffering
