Oh shit, just had a fucking brainwave.
In two days time it will be the tenth anniversary of Live@ATP. A youtube video went up that was linked from the official BoC account that had an off-the-desk version of Julie and Candy from that set, set to what were apparently the visuals played during the set. So it HAD to have come from an official source.
What if the black box is going to turn into an official release of Live@ATP?

Would be amazing to here this track in the same quality as "Julie And Candy." Probably my favorite live BoC.MrMessiah wrote:What if the black box is going to turn into an official release of Live@ATP?
I'd still be a bit sad that it wouldn't be material I've never heard.
Still, releasing a live album from 10 (?) years ago after a 5-year silence...Well, I don't know if lazy is the word...
Also, if it weren't for that goddamn black box, I'd have lost hope by now.

Well, that's the thing. If it WERE Live@ATP that would mean that we'd technically have what, 3 or 4 tracks straight away that were officially unreleased. We'd finally get Echus etc. (Actually, now I think about it, these tracknames have been pretty much kicking around on the BMI database forever).ArbitersGround wrote: Still, releasing a live album from 10 (?) years ago after a 5-year silence...Well, I don't know if lazy is the word...

And what if it was "BoC celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their legendary set at ATP in preperation for new live dates and the release of the new album next Autumn?" Tell me you wouldn't get excited at that
And than the autumn release will be available as a boxset live@atp, new album, old stuff, eps, a box of hexagonal cereals a mug and a boc-watch.MrMessiah wrote:Well, that's the thing. Twoism members will be able to use their pasword as a reduction-code after we've sent official appology-letters to the band and representatives for verbal agression, impatience and infrictions on privacy.
No seriously, that could be some hell of a brainwave you had.
whooosh
Well, apart from any "and a pony" stuff it seemed believable. OK, so I admit, it's plucked straight out of my arse to say "followed by new dates and a new album n months down the road!", but its just the sort of thing that a record company might do to reintroduce a band after a hiatus.PadraïK wrote: And than the autumn release will be available as a boxset live@atp, new album, old stuff, eps, a box of hexagonal cereals a mug and a boc-watch.

Still think the appearance of the Live@ATP video at around about the same time that a square appeared on their discography is way too coincidental, and noticing it's near-as-damnit 10 years ago that just sealed it for me. Course, if nothing surfaces on Thursday I'm going to feel like one of those people prophesising the end of the world when it doesn't come.
