BoC songs that you got a eargasm

Post by w31rd numb3r »

On here, my most playable artists are Boards of Canada; and, it's the band that i got some eargasms when i listen through. My top ten list is downhere:

01 - Seven Forty Seven (the whole stuff)
02 - Kiteracer 2
03 - Pete Standing Alone (the whole stuff²)
04 - Mukhinabaht (the repeated whole stuff)
05 - Dayvan Cowboy (after the distorted guitar and the chorus, which starts at 2:06)
06 - Left Side Drive (while driving...)
07 - Basefree (the whole stuff³)
08 - Everything you do is a Balloon (after the melody, which starts at 1:45)
09 - Amo Bishop Roden (the whole stuff ¹+³)
10 - Heard from Telegraph Line (the whoole stuff ²+³)

Edit: 747 now is the number one in this toplist!

I've already cried of happiness and pleasure on Dayvan Cowboy (and I wasn't even stoned).
The following tracks are the ones giving me huge eargasms:
Seven Forty Seven
1969
Buckie High
David Came to Mahana'im
Music Is Math
Olson
And I think that's all :)

5:04 in Kid For Today. When that little synth line comes in! Bliss.
4:28 in In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country. Again, another little synth line that puts me over.
1:02 in Kiteracer 2. When the main line comes in, it's just beyond fantastic.

Of course I love the whole tracks, but those little parts are just... :D

Olson - The end

Dayvan Cowboy of course!

Peacock Tail - When the synth starts to build and then when it all comes together at then end, so ethereal

Where do I start?

It's safe to say that my entire BoC library gives me eargasms. Extreme ones.

The Ones that give me the biggest, though(in no particular order), are:

Amo Bishop Roden, Dayvan Cowboy, Sherbert Head, Julie And Candy, You Could Feel The Sky(reversed and normal), Dawn Chorus, 1986 Summer Fire, Seeya Later, Turqoise Hexagonal Sun + Whitewater, Seven Forty Seven, Zeotrope, Korona, Mushyz, Sir Prancelot Brainfire, 5.9.78., Finity(AKA Tends Tower, AKA Audiotrack 05(A)), Time Apple, Gann, Melissa Juice, and Olsen.

I probably left some out...but those are my favorites! As i can think of anyway...

The first time I ever heard Peacock Tail, I was so very pleasantly surprised by it, but the part that really hit me was the echoing sound of a hand sliding across the guitar right before the second chord, it sounds almost like a dog bark. For some reason that part just really gets me.

Also Roygbiv, the second Boards of Canada song I ever heard (first was Beware the Friendly Stranger, which I heard in Salad Fingers) completely blew me away. I remember thinking, "Music can sound like this???"

Annnddd one more, the part of Sixtyniner when all of the instruments drop out except for the warbly chimey instrument at like 1:10...I love it!

Too many! Kid For Today , Everything You Do Is A Balloon, Peacock Tail, Left Side Drive, Roygbiv, Audiotrack 01 from side A Random Tape 35 ( I play this really loud in the mornings ), Wildlife Analysis, Bocuma, Dayvan Cowboy, Red Moss, Olson, Kaini Industries, Dawn Chorus, Over The Horizon Radar, '84 Pontiac Dream, Macquarie Ridge, Seven Forty Seven, You Could Feel The Sky, Whitewater, See Ya Later.....etc. Maybe I started from the favorite ones. All are very good in different ways but these ones leave me staring to the horizon with wet eyes.

We were on our way to my wife's parent's place about 10 mins ago when I turned on Sirius Chill and that chimey flute line came on my speakers. I was like, wow they've been playing older BoC often. Kinda bitter sweet when hearing Sixtyniner on Sirius.

Telephasic workshop, when i was in my buddys vw jetta last week, his sound system is really crisp and it was about 9:00 at night. the song played and put us both in a silent daze. When the part of the song where the chopped up vocals really get going, it sounded amazing

Tears from the Compound Eye

One summer day years ago I was lying nude on a blazing sun-drenched blanket, seeing only pure white sunlight through my closed eyelids, listening to that track over and over and over and over...

EDIT: Best sunburn evar.

The melody for One Very Important Thought.

The bit after Chromakey Dreamcoat before the next track starts.

Ready let's Go.
