I heard from a very reliable source that Solange will be a featured vocalist on the new album. How excited are we?!*

I wonder what they'll do for album art.

I mean, in the past, they've always gone with that grainy, old-photo nostalgia related type image, up until TCH, which was pretty bland IMO for artwork. Not bad, just not Geogaddi level.

Maybe they'll try to go for something more colorful, vivid, distinctive and new, something kind of like this: http://i.imgur.com/Pketu.jpg

I don't know. Up to Mike and Marcus, obviously.

i have to agree, i think the TCH artwork was - while definitely not, like, bad - just not super interesting on its own. i'd love to see something more vivid.

Hmmm, oh I just realized that The Campfire Headphase and Trans Canada Highway have the same initials.

I presume you were referring to the second one as well, or what?

That's the one I think is bland. Campfire Headphase was a lot like MHTRTC, I really liked it (artwork wise).

Oh, I more meant The Campfire Headphase. I thought it didn't really offer anything terribly new from MHTRTC's artwork.

Does anyone else miss the old way they used to write the titles on MHTRTC to Geogaddi?

I dig the fonts on those, Campfire Headphase not so much. Especially on Geogaddi it's like Comic Sans, but good looking! I also must say I'm big fan of the Trans-Canada Highway cover.

I went to the same school Solange Knowles did in high school, and my sister was actually in her class. Apparently she's a bitch.

Yup. I'm actually moving in August to San Marcos, too, for Texas State school of music.

Glad to know, judging from your location, I won't be the only BoC fan there.

Damn, small world. When I first joined this site I thought it'd be rare to find someone from Texas. Let alone the college I'm going to.

Last semester I was driving through campus and I saw a dude with a BOC T-Shirt so I honked at him and gave him a thumbs up and pointed to his shirt, and he did the same. Pretty cool. I bought all of the albums I own at the Sundance Records here in town and one of the guys there would get really excited every time I brought a new one to the register. You're not alone!

...That makes me even more excited for moving there.

In houston the most I've got is "Boards of Canada? Boards of...Boards...I think I've heard that name before."

Once this girl in my Art class a few years ago was talking about how she heard this song she loved called 1969 by Boards of Canada. I wasn't into them yet, so I didn't care. Had that happened today I'd have asked her out immediately. Great opportunities at terrible times....

I have heard the new release date is 20/20/2020.

The source was most definitely of the most trustworthy nature.

This is why it's taking so long. They've had to put the finishing touches on the new bunker...
