I'm doing great today. Went out hiking for the first time this year yesterday. Got a good exercised, relaxed vibe going on. Happy pagan ritualistic egg painting and giant rabbit day!

Easter morning, my dad decided to arrange a classic easter egg hunt for the first time in a long time

good to relive old times I guess.

And about forgotten dreams... well, sometimes I'd forget a dream but remember it like a month later s: I suppose that still counts as a remembered dream though! All of those types seemed to have meant something.

My goal is the complete a dream journal at least once every two years, depends on the page count. My first one was 250 pages and the second was 340. I have a metal binding and iron hardcover I had to make for a project in school so I'll probably only put 200 in that one and use it.

I went on a long bike ride in the sun and came second in the pub quiz. I'm pretty happy! Damn overdrafts though, I am dreading taking one out :/

Today was a good day, it was beautiful weather outside, my guitar teacher visited me and taught me the basics (it was my first lesson..), then I idled a little, sat on my balcony with a cup of coffee and studied English, then I felt I needed to do something outside and went for a 45 minute cycle tour and ended up at a beautiful place where I shot the video below. Despite its crappy quality I hope it is able to convey the beauty of that place.

I took it easy today (for me) and spent some time alone at the shop. I started work on three new sets of uilleann pipes that I'll be selling under the table to help feed my family this year. I had twisted my ankle last Thursday so I'm still limping around from that.

I'm serving on a Jury Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and possibly Thursday. Driving in and out of and parking in the state capital every day. I loathe the city. This will be a shitty week.

so on this day when my future, my career, my dreams, my job all seem to be getting flushed down the toilet, my friend -happened- to hire a cab to get himself to work, and the cab driver -happened- to work at a radio station on the weekends, and gave him a radio spot. just like that.

i'd be burning my radio show podcasts right now if they were flammable.

fuck my fucking life.

I found out today that a friend of mine from Kentucky is coming to visit me in June. Great news considering I don't have any close friends here. I haven't been home in almost three years and I've been really homesick lately. It definitely lifted my spirits. Japan can be terribly lonely for me sometimes. I have my wife (of course) a few co-workers I see on occasion, but nothing that really amounts to a 'friend'. It'll be so much fun to show him around Osaka and impress him with my limited Japanese ability! Lol. I'm really looking forward to it.

Hey dp, what are you doing in Japan?

Japan is on my list of other countries I'd like to live in. Including Germany (lived there once in Bad Herrenalb, got a lot of family in Rotenzol), GB, and Australia.
Otherwise I'm more than content with the states for now.

i'm married to a Japanese woman and i teach English to children aged 3-6 three days a week for very little money. i've been living here for 3 years. Luckily, my wife's family is pretty well off and she has a fantastic job which pays well... or else i would have returned to America a loooong time ago. Japan is a lovely place to visit, especially in the spring. I would recommend everyone come here at least once.

Exhausted: Only 5 hrs of sleep in the last 3 days. (bar gigs, skyping with friend who lives in a timezone 12 hrs ahead of me o.o and playing assassins creed brotherhood, omg addictive).

Excited: lil sis got press box seats at our local baseball team for the game tonight. Free food (nachos and pizza for me mmm)and beer. Awww yea.

I appreciate it man, thank you. Don't be too hopeless yourself - being married is a pretty great thing, for one, I know I would love to have someone in my life in that kind of capacity. Here's hoping things get better, for you, me, and anyone else here who's treading water in a shitriver right now.

This might be the most appropriate place to share this:

Something extremely coincidental happened when I was sorting out my songs in iTunes. For the second time, no idea why, iTunes wiped the entire library off my iPod. (I'm considering getting a different portable music player soon.) A few minutes ago, I started moving what songs I have on this computer over to my iPod. Not all of my music is on this computer with it being relatively new, so all the Boards on this computer consists of: Geogaddi, Hi Scores, IABPOITC, MHTRTC, Peel Session EP, Trans Canada Highway, Twoism, and the two songs, Orange Romeda and Seven Forty Seven.

When I go to move all these songs over to my iPod, I find that it totals exactly 70 songs.

This probably isn't anywhere near as interesting to someone else.
