Well, when I see someone calling someone else who made a playful comment towards women a chauvinistic pig who will only have good luck finding a half decent person to accompany him, I'm gonna assume that person is a feminist.

Hmm, that's interesting. I didn't use the word 'pig'. I also feel like you're getting way too interested in something that didn't even include you. I also wasn't being a 'jackass', I just found his jokes to be run of the mill and a bit rude. It gets INCREDIBLY annoying to hear the same ridiculous stereotypes toward women; WHEN YOU ARE ACTUALLY A WOMAN. It sucks because 'stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason', and when you are not part of a certain group; it gets very irritating to be bunched in with it. I don't get the benefits of being a generic woman, so why should I have to hear the nonsense of: 'Women are just boobs, talk too much, and are odd little creatures'? It doesn't seem fair, jokes like that aren't often made toward men, so you don't understand how frustrating it can be. I probably took it a bit too far, but I guess I expected a different kind of humor from this message board (something that didn't sound like it would be on 4chan).

Mexicola is a proven great guy. he's no chauvinist, even if his joke reflects that attitude.

yes, chauvinistic attitudes being embedded into humor is irritating and not that funny most of the time (honestly I think mexicola made it funny), and risks perpetuating those attitudes. yes, it is better to be sensitive towards peoples' feelings.
