I literally see "Poppy Seed (Reprise)" in almost every single thread I walk into on this forum, so in a way, Twoism.org peer pressured me to purchase the two Poppy Seed remixes on iTunes today.
I did cover of Poppy Seed Reprise today at my friends studio. It was just for fun so go easy on me. I didn't use any samples it's mostly analog... Anyways:

Damn, that's good man! What kind of hardware are you using? It's got a nice BoC-esque warmth to it.

Sounds like you and your friend have some nice toys there. I've recently purchased an MS2000 myself. Such a great user-friendly machine.
Feel free to share whatever else you're working on. Good stuff, man!

I had an MS2000R for a while but I sold it a while back so I could get my DW8000. Still a great synth, I am looking at a couple of different vintage analogs right now on Craigs list. I spend way too much money on instruments.

That Poppy Seed re-recording is really interesting because it sounds very American in the voices chosen. The low nasal to the strident horn lead is better than the original, while the variation also just screams PBS. 85-86 PBS. BBC had a whole different sound.

hey there, bumping this because this track is so orgasmic.
The regular Poppy Seed is also amazing, I particularly like the little stuff that happens around 1:34, along with those prior flute sounding keys. Amazing.
