As a fan, it's difficult to hear a BoC track with an actual vocalist and simply enjoy it (I cringe a little when I hear her singing "on the left side drive"), so I think this girl is doing, again, something very difficult. However, this doesn't completely suck and if I never heard of BoC I would probably enjoy it much more and without any prejudice.

Listening to this track more, I think it's almost even better than the original. The vocals in my opinions are VERY good, and that's coming from a guy who doesn't usually listen to music with a lot of vocals. I just think they are too "modern", I'd prefer having the mixed deeper into the track and them to be more lo-fi.

It's actually much better than what she did to "slow this bird down". And I'm actually happy to see BoC get more exposure to people who wouldn't have heard of them otherwise. Too bad she didn't use this on her album instead.
Edit: I will cry if this is what that empty spot was about on the discography!

It may be not terrible but for me it doesn't work, regardless. Left Side is perfect without vocals, it doesn't seem right to add anything else to it.
