Meh, she's probably just bullshitting. I live in Houston, where Solange, and Destiny's Child are from, and I went to the same high school as Solange (and my sister was in the same class as her).Fireal420 wrote:if you use the link from the top of last page. it says that she "worked with" boc
does that mean she actually got their consent to do this? and she actually worked with them?
something tells me she means that she simply. stole their beats and sung over them.
Everyone I know who has met her including my sister thinks she's a bitch who's totally full of herself.

Yeah I was thinking the same, but the only problem is that MDG post that, and I really think he's an hexagon sun official member...That's really strange.ArbitersGround wrote:Meh, she's probably just bullshitting. There is no room in this world for singing over BoC trakcs
Especially at a time like this
listening to the REAL LSD for the rest of the night to clean my ears of that shit

I'm glad she's a fan/exposing people to BoC who wouldn't normally listen to them. And while what she did was somewhat tasteful, I don't think anything like that should ever be done to BoC tracks. Gonna stick with the original, thx.
edit: Although I don't really give a shit. Anyone can do whatever they want.

Ok that was interesting. Maybe not the combination I prefer. She does have a nice voice but I would rather hear a bit crackly and distant voice than that clear and close rnb-voice.
Somebody from WATMM summed it up for me:
"Obviously just sang over it.
I find it naive and just generally crude the way she's done these two voice-overs. She's treating the tracks like instrumentals for her voice to go over, when she should be considering her voice just another part of the track, and the way she has her voice standing out from the background doesn't accomplish that. She should've done a total recreation of the track, new instrumentation and all, then she could put this out as an aesthetically equal piece of music instead of a track ruined by a hasty addition of vocals. "
Word.

BoC just pooped out a Facebook status update about this. They must be really proud of it to spend their precious time with copying/pasting a link to it. I guess now we know what they've been doing "in the studio" lately..
It's fucking garbage. Good job BoC. Why don't you let every fucking pop-diva sing over your best tracks and ultimately ruin them. What's next? Avril Lavine singing over "Everything You Do Is A Balloon"? Seriously, is this what we've been waiting 6 years for?

Calm down broham. It will be ok. Everyone is more disappointing the longer you know them, right?
Ten points to anyone who recognizes that quote.

Look, Left Side Drive is my favorite BoC song. And to see it ruined so the pop music masses can hear it just disgusts me. Who is benefiting from this? What is the point?
