It's fucking garbage. Good job BoC. Why don't you let every fucking pop-diva sing over your best tracks and ultimately ruin them. What's next? Avril Lavine singing over "Everything You Do Is A Balloon"? Seriously, is this what we've been waiting 6 years for?
BoC don't manage their facebook page. It was probably MDG, the same as he made this thread.

I dug how her vocals complimented an otherwise boring track.

I think this is better than the original.

YEAH, I SAID IT. JEEZE, WHAT? I'm allowed my own opinion.

.....If you find the original boring, I don't see how you can like BoC.

Maybe it's because I stepped into this fully prepared to hear something as terrible as the "Slow This Bird Down" cover and this simply ended up not being as bad as I expected, but I actually enjoyed this.

Maybe if "Left Side Drive" was my favourite song like some of you I'd be more critical. I was trying to imagine how I'd feel if she was singing over "Sixtyten"... Couldn't imagine it though, so I stopped. :)

All in all though, I would never hate an artist for showing her own appreciation for another artist in one way or another. She liked the track, she thought she'd sing something to it, she thought she'd share it with the world. Simple as that. Haven't we all done things like that? Videos, mash-ups, covers...?

Chill. ;)

I don't hate them at all, even Solange , It's just music It wille be silly to hate someone, I just don't like this "remix", but that's great if people enjoy it.

I Can't really see how the overly loud vocals over very deep soundscape of the Left Side Drive can be better than the original without the vocals. The lovely xylophone-melody really drowns under her singing. And yeah..why the hell did she have to mumble over the ending too. Cool experiment and all but hopefully I don't have to hear rnb-singing on the next album :) She's a pretty good singer though.

The more I hear this... the more I'm down! Yo Go Solange! Give us/me more silky smooth sexy lyrics over BOC tracks!

I like it, but not better than the original. The Solange/original tune balance is way off, every subtility the original tune had, is gone due to loudness of the voice imo...

Did a little write up of the track on my blog. A lot of people liked the one I did for "1969," so I thought being honest as both a BOC annnnddd a Solange fan would be beneficial for an article. Interested in knowing how you guys feel about it...

Not a fan what she did to the song but I think it's pretty cool that somebody with her level of exposure is giving props to boc. It can only do good things for the brothers. Would be nice to hear her do something more than simply sing over the track though. Like maybe actually do a proper remix? Doubt she could get permission to.

This is great - i'm shocked at how good this is actually. imo the vocals are only a touch to high in the mix but it doesn't spoil my enjoyment of this

Much much better than 'this bird' - also i'm intrigued as after 'this bird' i just assumed she wasn't really a fan of BoC, rather it was just something for a bit of album filler. This seems to indicate she's genuinely a fan.

i don't like it, but don't mind it really. freedom of expression and all that jazz. i do think her lyrics, especially the "left side drive....not driving on the right side....blah blah" are pretty boring/contrived/lame.

After a couple listens I'm starting to like it a little bit more. It's definitely way better than "this bird". Rather weird they chose that track over "left side drive" for the proper album release. If I'm not mistaken the two remixes have been made at approximately the same time frame.

Finally something proper to talk about. Thanks to MDG for keeping us in the loop as none of us apparently spotted it on the internets.

Yeah I don't want that sentiment to get lost in the general sort of negativity to the track. It aint my thing but y'know, it's cool that it got mentioned here.
