June 9th is not a least played for me! And especially not Everything You Do Is A Balloon...(see my username)

Although I would have rather had Whitewater replace June 9th on Hi Scores.

My personal least played tracks on ALL main releases:

Twoism - Twoism
Hi Scores - Hi Scores
Music Has The Right To Children - Eagle In Your Mind
In A Beautiful Place out in The Country - Kid For Today
Geogaddi - Beach At Redpoint
The Campfire Headphase - Farewell Fire

(I always skip Red Moss on BoC Maxima too...)

It's not that I dont love these tracks, there isnt one that I dont. I would just rather listen to other ones most of the time.

Twoism - Twoism
Hi Scores - Hi Scores
Music Has The Right To Children - Eagle In Your Mind
In A Beautiful Place out in The Country - Kid For Today
Those are honestly pretty much favorite songs from each of those releases

I always listen to full albums so I don't have least played songs put my least favorite would be:

Twoism: Iced Cooly or Seeya Later
Hi Score: Nlogax
MHTRTC: Sixtyten or Pete Standing Alone
IABPOITC: Amo Bishop Roden (I can't stand this track)
Geogaddi: Gyroscope
Campfire Headphase: I don't have one that I strongly dislike here, but probably Peacock Tail
Trans-Canada Highway: Probably Skyliner

My post might have come out a bit wrong. I don't really "strongly dislike" any BoC songs really. Here's more detailed analysis or something...

Seeya Later:

I used to hate this track. I literally couldn't stand listening to it at all. I make music myself and that drum sound is something I still wouldn't ever use, but it used to annoy me to no end. I love the bassline of the song but the melody always to me seemed really dissonant and non-fitting. Recently I've started to like this song more though. I guess Iced Cooly now that I think of it is my least favorite from Twoism (which is btw my favorite BoC release).

Amo Bishop Roden:

I don't know what it is about this one but it just...no. The pad sounds that's heard throughout the track doesn't appeal to me. It's way too resonant and distorted for my taste. And I don't really have problem with distortion or lo-fi sounds (actually I very much love that stuff), but I don't like this particular instance. The drum sound is again to me very annoying, I'd prefer something softer and I'd lose the echo. I'm also well aware that BoC tracks tend to repeat a lot especially on the melody / chord section, but here the song just kind of stalls. I get bored with the song in the first minute, and I don't see it progressing in any way after that .

Gyroscope:

I was actually somewhat "shocked" to find out this is one of the most popular tracks off Geogaddi. As before, I have a big issue with the sounds here. Main problem again are the drums. I becomes overbearing and repetitive, which isn't a bad thing at all by default, but it's again kinda the same problem as with Amo Bishop Roden. It doesn't progress anywhere, it just sort of stalls and just repeats the something I can't enjoy. I do like the melody in the background though, but I can't make out anything of it unfortunetely.

I used to people losing their shit over my opinions regarding music (after all I seem to be the only person in the world who doesn't like OK Computer), hopefully this helps understanding my views

Not nescessarily unusable but I wouldn't use them, it's a subtle difference. They do kinda work on Seeya Later though..

can we please stop being surprised that some BoC fans love tracks that others hate?

seriously is this 2006 again? are we all still marveling over the fact that some of us think MHTRTC is their main masterpiece and others think it's Geogaddi?

i know not everyone's been here for too long, but let me prevent you from any more unsavory surprises: our tastes, as fans of this band, are often widely divergent. ok?

please stop that.

I don't think I'd be surprised. In fact I really could care less what songs other people dislike.

EYDIAB is so ridiculously good how anyone has this in their least favourite tracks is beyond me, but i respect their opinion.

Being a huge fan of Aphex Twin and Autechre I don't find anything particularly annoying about Basefree.

I usually skip over The Color of Fire because I can't stand hearing the kid taking so long to sound out the words and sometimes roygbiv because it is too damn happy sounding.

How could one not love Smokes Quantity? It is one of their most defining tunes!

I used to not really like Chinook. I had only listened to the BoC Maxima version, though.

Then I downloaded the Aquarius EP, and noticed that Chinook was a couple minutes longer. So I decided to listen, and give it another chance.

OH MY GOD THIS SHIT IS SO GOOD!
