likewise, cheapest fare is 1860 at the moment from LAX (airgorilla.com)

let me know if you find something better!

Awesome are you going too?! I think that perhaps its better to break up the flights/ even seperate airlines. Air Gorilla is mad cheap, but sometimes Yahoo travel can piece together a cheap ride. i was going to europe anyway this week, so I have to pay it (destination: Geneva). So, I'm just payn a bit more for a detour. As of now, I have no itinerary! Maybe by tonite. Hit me on the email or chat if you're really going!

to be honest, it's looking pretty slim with prices like those :(; also considering that if i leave on friday evening after work, i'd get there on saturday afternoon....i was feeling spontaneous and ready to be part of something special, but reality just hit me in the face now that my beer buzz is gone

i would probably have made it if i had just believed a little bit more when the speculations began and made reservations back in April...hindsight is 20/20...6010 akhdkjhd

Looking at something around the £100 mark for a train fare from London to Edinburgh. Figured that if I drove all the way from here I'd be so tired by the time I got there, that I wouldn't appreciate whatever happens. I'm still hoping that we get another nugget of information before the weekend.

I've been lurking on Twosim and WATMM for a while, but been reading with much interest!

There should be 3 of us coming up from London on Friday. Not sure how at the moment! We'll be taking maps, GPS and poss a laptop! If anything, it's going to be an adventure.

I was wondering if we could do something whereby we can post info "on the fly" (maybe using SMS?) I assume internet access could be patchy in those hills! It would be a great shame if no-one found anything!

It's just this kind of thing that I love about BoC. Totally random. There's no other band that organises a random 'treasure hunt' to find a gig.

SAturday is supposed to be El Scorchio up here in Edinburgh so shjould be good... though what time is everyone heading out at?

Were going to try location 1 (on the farm) and if its not there go to the exact point 0.9 miles away where 22506 points to (in the wood on top of the hill)... Even if there is nothing there, it sounds like there will be a few folks kicking about so should be wicked anyweay.

Im gonna leave Manchester around 7/8 am. I still want to catch the England game (might be rather dodgy being in Scotland!) whether it be in a pub or via my eye TV on my laptop. Im defo taking some sort of recording equipment. Really looking forward to a nice drive and trip up there regardless!

This sounds cool. Redmoon is pulling in the last minute recon and is going to provide some info about the site, so lets stay in touch. once we got a good lead, we'll post it on google maps so it'll be easy to get directions.

As for me, looks like my little brother and I will be flyn out from the US. I'm looking not to have to rent a car while there (I can't drive stick and I'm not used to driving on the "wrong" side of the road). So if anyone can set us up with a ride from EDI that would be great.

We should get there before noon. So plenty of time. Then we're peobably going to fly out the next evening. Help a Yank out, will ya? Looking fwd to hanging out together, hopefully there will be some live music as well!

Thats it! I'm going! Rang up about the flights and there was one seat left :!: :!: So I took it . That puts me into Edinburgh at about 9pm Friday night. Still loads of questions to be answered about this lark. First off though I want to try and rendevouz with some of you guys - my sense of direction is shit. Anyone want to post a meet up location and time and we can take it from there. :? :D
