Beautiful English words

Lately I've been expanding the size of my English vocabulary (by studying books and word lists) and I have stumbled upon some great English words.

infinitesimal
verisimilitude
crestfallen (this is my favorite English word ever

crestfallen under a crescent moon)
gratuitous

Also, I like some words because of their probable relation to Dutch words (which is my native language). Scathe (Dutch: schade(n) ), feign (veinzen) fowl (vogel) bestow ("time spent in study is time well bestowed" (dictionary.com example), besteed).

Whats wrong with moist? I quite like it. I cant think of any negative ascociations.

Some words that spring to mind: Facsimile, Bedragled, Pragmatic, Foreshortened, salubrious, etc. Thats baseds mostly only on the way they physicaly sound however.
I dont have a favourite one however, i'm generaly quite poor with words, but I can apreciate a good one every now and then.

I prefer to keep it simple

I have a bunch of other ones too but goddamn is it hard to remember the best ones off hand :/

i notice words without hard, harsh sounds (k, d, g (as in gag), x, and to a lesser extent, t) are usually the more unappealing ones.
