like.. you're the best god damn bird-chirper this country has ever seen.
and you've been perfecting this bird-chirping for months. you promise your friends this ridiculously sick show of.. bird-chirping, and you're all like "YEAH IT'S ALMOST READY YOU GUYS ARE GONNA FLIP A SHIT"
suddenly, you've fallen ill with pneumonia. can't really do no crazy-ass bird-chirping with a ladle-full of pneumonia, so while you did promise them that it was almost ready and was going to be incredibly soon, you have to delay it

you had your heart in the right place, but shit happens, hopefully people understand

*cough*
This is a more accurate analogy.

You and your brother are birds. You like to chirp. So you're out in the woods all bein' a bird and shit, chirping, when other animals are like "sheeiiit, look and them muhfuckas chirpin'"

So you release a few albums of chirps. You meet a nice, fine looking asian bird, and you're thinking about moving to China. Your brother has already had little birdie children and has a nest with his bird lady, etc. And your brother moved to New Zealand.

Then the manager of That old Chirping label, Hexagon Chirp, is telling all those other animals that both you and your brother are supposed to have come out with another chirp album years ago.

So naturally, you're just like "Goddamn, shit nigga, I'm in China and my bro has a bird nest to worry about. Shut the fuck up, brah."

After sobering up, I realize I've only re-posted what I have said IN THIS SAME THREAD several times, along with a few other people. I was just, frustrated.

Alot of this is all silly. We should only be worried about that Box. We know something is coming soon, it isn't speculation anymore.

So, just by my lack of wanting to actually check out the 51 previous pages, any new news beyond the box appearing

The only other "News", would be the "In The Studio" on their myspace or their twitter, can't remember which one. But no Official album announcement.

Me too!
It's because they're my father's favorite bands, and so they're all I listened to during my childhood.
I always insist on having The Smiths' and Depeche Mode's complete discographies on hand. I'm always in the mood. Not a song I don't like by them.
The Cure's good too: Head on the Door, The Top, Japanese Wispers, Disintegration. Amazing albums.

Sorry to dig that up, but I found it while searching and had to reply.

Even though I might sound like a watmm cynic, I have a feeling the "In The Studio" update just might mean that BoC really are in the studio, yet there's a good chance it was also put there from someone who works with the band/hexagon sun/etc. to get fans to shut up with the whole "Can't we just have a simple update?" talk.

One thing that annoys me a lot is to see that BoC logins on their Myspace almost every day, without posting anything new… Maybe it's not the band themselves that goes on Myspace, but damn why do they login everyday if they don't post anything?

Auto login when browsing the site, imho. It's not them, most likely, but their friends etc. who manage their online presence. Just checking the online communities for possible troll statement debunking.

I think a lot of people STILL get confused on their social networking sites, thinking they actually check their own accounts, when it's really just someone else doing it for them.

I wish someone would update my social network accounts for me. They must live like GODS!

Why do we all assume it's not them logging in? Surely they have access to the internet and are curious to see what is being talked about on their networking sites..I know I would be.

this, and it makes me sad

i am also beginning to think that i am only skamming myself to be checking up on this nonsense anymore, and this also makes me sad. the last release date we had from a hex official fell through - which isn't upsetting, we all know life happens, but it also gives some merit to the infamous message "the internet is evil". even if we got another month/year deadline from mdg, we also all know how big perfectionists BoC are, and if 'life happens' again in the process, all it means is more waiting for us. hype for nothing but disappointment.

i think i'll be waiting for a release date from warp. that seems to be what BoC would like me to do...

I somehow have the feeling they are busy with the ultimate masterplan. Music to rule the world.

It will take a few decades...

In an interview I've read that they don't care. They make music mostly for themselves and their family and don't care what anyone else thinks about it. They also like to live in their own world and don't go online much (let alone watch the television and read newspapers).

Oh my, might I say, these topics are kinda getting a little crazy. Calm down, people. Obviously the Sandison brothers keep posted on the world news, just look at all the hidden jems in their music.

It's like anyone can come on these forums, say one thing, and alter your perception. You can't let that happen.

'Expectations and pressures from the outside world hardly make an impact, either.

"We're too busy to give a shit," reckons Sandison.' (Source: http://boardsofcanada.bravepages.com/nm ... rview.html)

Can't find the bit about the news though.. Another interview I think. I'm sure I've read it in a genuine interview with the Sandison brothers.
