Me too, I love getting DVD box sets, the really deluxe stuff.ArbitersGround wrote: I really, really want a boxset that was rumoured to be in the works, i have an obsession with boxed sets, something like a Vinyl/CD/DVD and artwork all packaged in some intricate, beautiful ornate container. I think it could be a box set of some sort, maybe just a compilation of old and new stuff. This morning I made a CD of a mixture of Old Tunes 1 tracks, live at ATP tracks and Flutes. Maybe it'll be something like that, in high quality. Like the Julie And Candy live HQ track.
That was a ramble..

Oh I wasn't saying those guys were my favorite. Those guys are all just my favorite 90's-ish feeling bands.pointlessdude wrote:Great taste man, Jeff Magnum is awesome.Yellow Records wrote:Neutral Milk Hotel
Mine's this:
BoC
Porcupine Tree
Sigur Rós
Blind Guardian
Kayo Dot
BoC blows everything out of the water.
And Seefeel, and Animal Collective, and Autechre, and GOBBLE GOBBLE.

Okay, question:
"The Port" is definitely a BoC track, correct? I have always thought it was but didn't know whether it was confirmed. Sounds a lot like an old track or something.

Never heard of "The Port" before. Probably fake. But I'm downloading it now. Will post once I listen.
Did you listen to the whole thing? It's certainly reminiscent of their older stuff.747Music wrote:I don't know who it is, but I can for sure say it's fake. It sounds nothing like BoC at all. Where did you find it?
And, I found it here: http://www.atomless.com/music/

Hmm. I wonder what is delaying the release?Seeya_Later wrote:Archrival wrote: Now I finally know! Boards Of Canada are really into "timing"!
They want to find the right time for the most impact.
Yeah? And when would that be?
It seems to me that anytime in the last couple months could have had impact.
ANYTIME NOW BOYS!

Yeah, I heard from the grapevine that God's a bit jealous of BoC's chops. He gave them chronic diarrhea for three months straight. They had to record their new tracks while on the toilet (it's unfortunate that the bunker only has one toilet). Some tracks are rumoured to have farts miked to sound like flute trills.JosephG wrote:God.... it's going to be really awesome when this thing drops.

I have a little hypothesis about the ATP "Julie And Candy" on youtube.
I don't think it's a soundboard recording from the ATP show. I think that it's another version BoC had lying around and they'd simply play it at shows with no improvisation or anything live about it.
I say this because if you also listen to the Lighthouse bootleg recording where they also play "Julie And Candy", it appears to be identical to the ATP version.
I'm guessing it was one of two (or more) versions they were considering for Geogaddi.
