Edit: sorry I was wrong about that, woops. Yeah definitely an LP. Anyways, I will always be a favorite of mine! It gives me that nostalgic 1990s elementry field trip on the bus feeling, looking out the window at the city on your way to the museum. It's such a classic.

Hahaha! Twoism was the first BoC I heard. I always listened to it (especially Twoism and Oirectine) when on the bus to school.

@Arbitersground. Whoooooot??!?!?! IABPOITC is so good! Musically maybe not, but atmospherically, hellllll yeah!
But ah well, you're more one of the melody guitar types who rates The Campfire Headphase so high (though I also love that album..) .. I'm more of the electronic music lover. So I get where you're coming from.

Many of their early albums very very short in lenght, Twoism wasn't an exception. And it's actually 9 tracks btw
Yeah, felt the same here. Not all EP's are over 25 minutes in length, but a few are. It also depends on how you classify an EP. Seems like most people consider an EP less than 30 minutes and less than 8 tracks. Seems fair to me.

anything over 6 tracks is technicaly an lp, i don't remeber where, but i read it is a 'rule' in bigger labels.

and don't forget that initially twoism was just a demo.

I think IABPOITC just lacks excitement tracks. BoC have always been more on the slow and quiet side, which is fine, but every now and then they'll put in a track that's a bit more loud and exciting. Like MHTRTC with Sixtyten and Aquarius. Geogaddi has Music Is Math and Sunshine Recorder. Campfire has Chromakey Dreamcoat and Dayvan Cowboy. Hi Scores has June 9th. Twoism has Basefree. Trans Canada Highway has Left Side Drive. Peel Session has Aquarius. And the Aquarius EP has Chinook.

IABPOITC is all quiet, soft and slow. I like all the tracks on there, but as an album it just isn't as versatile and diverse as the rest of their albums. And to be completely honest, I really have never cared for Zoetrope.

Yeah, I think I like Amo Bishop Roden, the most off of IABPOITC. I used to love the IABPOITC (the track), but over the years, I've really lost interest in that track and don't find it appealing anymore. I think the very dark harmony and chord progression was something very new to me when I first heard it, and now it's something I've seen more and more as I've explored BoC's music.

Campfire Headphase is great for me, because of the insane attention to detail and Tears From The Compound Eye. The background noise they make in those tracks really give it a great atmosphere, the way dis niga likes it.

I never cared much for Zoetrope either, but a few weeks ago I was chilling on my bed and that track came by. It was as if I was carried away into another dimension or something and I suddenly saw the outlines of the trees outside very clearly against the blue sky..
I tried to stay in it, but later on it got kind of freaky. As if I had some kind of drugs (never had hallucinogenic drugs, but I guess it would be slightly like that, only more intense haha).
It even scared me at one point and I broke free in some kind of shock. Like: 'ohke, now it's too much, get out of the trance!'

Just by focusing on the music. Since then Zoetrope became more interesting to me.

Zoetrope moves me in the way that the very best BoC tracks do. It sucked me in from the very first listen. It accompanied me during changing times in my life - and boy did things change for me - but it always surprises me so many are 'meh' about it.

I adore Zoetrope. Much like 747, it's a sneaky bugger. It doesn't seem to 'do' alot and yet somehow, it's all the more intense for it. Love it, love it, love it.
