Kashmir Boots EP

My current plan is to finish my EP in terms of equalizing, compression and other aesthetical aspects, maybe some tweaks and additions to the composition itself, make a fine selection of tracks, get artwork made, get it pressed to mini-cd in a limited run, sell it with barely any personal profit and let the buyer donate an extra, voluntary fee which I will subsequently donate to a foundation supporting the mentally ill (most likely the British foundation Mind). Unless I could be making millions off my music (which is of course an absurd thought), I don't care about personal monetary profit and I prefer to give my modest support to those who are in great pain.

At the moment I'm very busy with the said adjustments and improvements. After this project is completely finished I intend to move to a more mature DAW and experiment with different styles and techniques, although I'm sure I will stay true to my current core style and aesthetic. I feel like this project, my baby child so to speak, has to be taken care of first before I can move onto new and exciting musical ventures.

Once I've progressed into a further stage I will give a new update about this project.

In the future I'm especially interested in more collaborations with fellow musicians and integrating spoken words and real instruments like guitar into my music. Here's a tune which I'm currently working on, it could be a glimpse of what the "new" Kashmir Boots will sound like.

Very good luck with your EP! I will definitely buy it! Nice new little track, very atmospheric, like all your tracks. The guitar with effects indeed adds something to it!
How noble of you to donate the money for charity. Maybe this will inspire other artists to do the same in the future. It already inspires me now. Maybe I will do something like that in the future too.
It'd be nice to make a website with music only for charity purposes, with different artists.

It's a good thing to help the mentally ill.. I have the feeling they are mostly overlooked by the mentally stable. It's hard for them to understand.
I've had some psychological problems until a year ago for like one and a half year. It was fucking horrible. But I'm better now. I now know what it feels like, though. The helplessness. The feeling of being lost and alone. Everything felt like one big bad trip without even taking drugs (not that I take drugs aside from smoking a joint once in while, but still, I think that's what it would be like).

Anyway, I think you're a good guy. It's normally hard to judge someone over the internet, but you seem honest, polite and a thinking intelligent guy who cares about the people. All great musicians should be like you.

Hello there Guido,

Wow, this 'Voyager' track is very angelic! The voice over it makes it even more epic! I love how the bass sound and the main pads work together. Lovely lovely. The melodies are superb (as always).
As if my spirit is being lifted out of my body when I close my eyes to it.

Now listening 'Korsakoff'. I have the feeling that there's a story behind this. Is there someone you know with Korsakoff syndrome? Or am I mistaken? Or is it about someone named Korsakoff?
The melody and sound is nice and clear and uneasing at the same time. Very well done. It's as if you drown in it..

Well done again, Guido. Wow.

Credit on Voyager is due to Saturday Index (narration), The Silence Echoes (vocals) and my friend Stellan (pre-mastering).

And yeah, last summer I was obsessed with Wernicke-Korsakoff. This is what often immediately precedes Korsakoff's dementia and it embodies a state of confusion, forgetting the time and not recognizing the people around you and your environment anymore. I thought the song would be a good soundtrack to not remembering anything anymore. My choice of the vocal sample (by Michael Gambon) is fairly arbitrary and doesn't necessarily relate to the title of the song. But this is ambient and ambient is allowed to be abstract and ambiguous, right

Hey man! I sincerely appreciate your interest in my music and I'm sorry to say that I haven't made *anything* at all since my last update. The first half of this year consisted of going through some pretty serious mental health issues and being engrossed by computer programming/IT again, in that order, without at any point having an interest in booting up my music composition software and attempt to make something soothing or beautiful. As a matter of fact, I currently don't even have a serious interest in listening to music anymore.. The best you can do is subscribe to my Youtube channel and I might consider some old stuff I've made eligible for publication in the future and upload it.

Here's something I just found, I reckon you haven't heard it yet (it's old though, from a time when I still made 4 minute songs
