Hello,
I was at the observatory tonight... it was very nice. Some very sweet people hanging out, and a campfire. Hello to all those people. I go out in the country quite often and I'm never disappointed if I don't get to hear a free exclusive gig... so tonight was good fun. I'm definitely not a BOC obsessive, and I didn't know BOC obsessives existed until this week (when I stumbled into here). I like their music but making a one hour journey from Glasgow is within my definition of "just out for a good time" and does not drift into "my life is controlled by some external musical source".
If all BOC did was set up a reference to get a few folk to congregate on a lovely summer night at a very special wee place, with a beautiful moon, then they did well. If lots of other folk went somewhere else and heard BOC play live or something then fine... they didn't experience what I experienced. And now I'm home and happy and I've got a whisky and I'll definitely go back to that part of the Pentlands which until now was for me a mystery.
Redpoint is another place I've always wanted to go to. Thanks for reminding me!
Hope you're all having fun. Play nice now.
