I don't doubt mdg being a hexagon sun official. I just doubt anything he says about BoC. I don't think he lies, but he seems too quick to come to huge conclusions.
Steve Beckett said it was coming out in 2010, so did MDG. I presume nobody likes to look a fool so therefore believe them. It has been explained that something has been hindering the release, so I'd go along with that.
net goes wild, pitchfork post a story on what the meaning could be, people get too excited, freak out and start riots, world war 3 is called, empires fall, the world goes into ruins, the end,

This kind of stuff isn't exactly unheard of when it comes to band releases. I can think of many examples where a member of a band (not even some 'representative') has said so themselves "album out this year" only to release it the following year. I dunno about you guys but my hopes will get up when I see an actual date. That's how it's always been for me with bands regardless of how long they go between releases.
Read with interest an article today about the new Kate Bush record that's about to drop. Her label saying they expect it'll land in November. Goes to show, these things can take a long time, even once it's in the can so to speak.
The Avalanches.
And Aphex (apparently went through a divorce and hasn't released anything so his wife doesn't get any cash.)
These future releases, and BOC's, are reasons to wait for things.
