I can vouch for Brewdog - they've recently opened a bar here in Edinburgh (and others in Aberdeen, Glasgow and - I think - London). Their Punk IPA is a favourite, and Trashy Blonde and 5am Saint are are really good too.

Hats off to whoever mentioned Innis & Gunn too - all of their beers are lovely; I think I enjoy them more as I'm a big whisky fan.

There are some great independent brewers at the moment in Scotland - Innis & Gunn, Brewdog, Stewarts ( their Pentland IPA is great), Black Isle, Skye Brewing Co. - it's nice to see.

I like weissbier (wheat beer). Been drinking a lot of Franziskaner over the past few years. Cheers!
