I'd assume there'd be growth, what with Pitchfork's glowing reviews, people stumbling upon them more. I mean they have a few tracks on youtube with over a million views now.
I dunno if there'd be a huge increase, but with every person who stops listening I'd say there'd be three or four starting to listen to them.

Another indication of that is that vinyl prices are higher than ever. I think their popularity is currently slowly but surely slumbering and increasing via word of mouth and when the new album is released their popularity will finally transcend their predicate of being obscure underground IDM artists by having a huge fan base to promote them and due to the fact that anything retro is very popular at the moment (think of all those chillwave artists etc). "Recollexploitation", as it was duly called by Igloo Mag, is at its peak and assuming that BoC will continue musically in somewhat the same vein as their previous output it wouldn't surprise me that they become the next big hype when the new album is out (more so than ever before).

Whoa, I just came to the conclusion that I have only listened to 10 songs of BoC the last 3 months. And the 3 Months before that 148. Guess you can say these 3 months have declinded my interest in them.
However, I have these periods with BoC all the time. I just get tired of them for a small amount of time, and after that, I will be listening to them non stop.

This is exactly what happens to me. I can listen to them until I get sick, then quit for a period of time, but after that I go again. Right now I have some kind of a BoC dependence.
i most definitely have a declined interest in their music - but it doesn't necessarily mean i've lost respect for them or the music they have created. i'm anticipating the new release and shall enjoy exploring it to its fullest.
Agreed. I put some Boards on but nowadays it's mostly to play for others to see if maybe I can generate interest in them. How many times can you really listen to that same hundred or so tracks again and again?

I still do this as well. Whenever I have friends over at my house to chill I always put Boards on to see what people think of them, overall, most of my friends like em pretty much, but wouldn't listen to them alone or something. 2 Friends of mine do now though, they came to grow really fond of Boards.

Interesting, i guess it is testament to the strength of the music alone that they are going strong 5-6 years after last releases with zero input from the brothers themselves. In some ways it perhaps justifies their stance on social media - letting the music do the talking.
