Collaborating with other Twoism members in an EP
Hey folks, I'm working on a new EP and I want it to feature other artists. Not so much in a remix fashion, but in a working back and forth on songs and coming together and publishing it. Not sure how many are interested, but I've been pretty into this idea for a little while.
Right now I'm working with a Russian guitarist and making an EP out of our work together. It would be nice to do something similar with people here. So I'm thinking about maybe putting up a private blog where these artists can bounce ideas back and forth (posting on the forums might be problematic, and I want people to stay connected).
I'd like to have, if possible, some sort of concept idea (or ideas) behind this work to keep the collective more guided and the work more cohesive. Depending on the volume of work that can be put together, it might span multiple releases, with specific artists being featured on EPs that sound more alike.
-----
Also worth noting, I mostly use Reason 5, which kind of limits my ability to work with Ableton/etc files. I'm willing to send stems out, and import, so long as they are short (loops mostly) so I can import them into Recycle/Dr.Rex.

I'll help out.
I use a combination of things and have experience with Sequoia (pretty far from standard) and some experience with Ableton Live.
But in the end, I can put together some good tracks. I actually master in Audacity a lot. Simple yet sweet. There's a lot VST's can do for you.
So, what genres do you have in mind?
Here on the Twoism forum, I've mainly told people about my IDM and Ambient works, but my music spans a lot of harsher, dark areas, if your EP is up for any sort of sound.

To those interested, shoot me an email. It'll be a lot easier for me and I can start shooting details and brainstorms.

Genre-wise. It would be downtempo/idm. If you've listened to my other work, sort of in that spectrum, but I'm not trying to pigeonhole this by any means. I'm going to work on a blog and post snippets, stems and samples as well as conceptual art/ideas.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I've been somewhat busy of late but I'm going to try and start putting some stuff together the next couple days. I'll forward the information via email.
EDIT:
I sent those who forwarded their email a dropbox link. For those who haven't emailed me their email, do so and I'll send you the stems and files I have right now.

You didn't piss me off. Relax!Synthestesia wrote:Sorry Rodheh for pissing you off. I didn't mean to
You shouldn't "quit" just because of this little incident.
Also Syn, we're allowed to add to others' folders, but you didn't add your name to the sample or any notes, so it was kind of confusing and seemed like you accidentally selected the wrong folder.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

Well I say that there could be multiple versions. I think the idea is just to have people collaborating. I'm already having quite a lot of enjoyment from the stuff posted. Submit whatever you'd like, and feel free to work on others' files. I posted a readme in the dropbox which might be worth reading.
