Mike - "I once did a track that starts with a synth flourish that sounds like an amalgam of every ABC, Lorimar, Stephen J. Cannell musical ID I'd ever soaked up as a kid."
I would LOVE to hear this track...makes me wonder of all those tracks they have just sitting there and what they sound like...

I know man! They are just sitting there doing nothing! Well... maybe they are doing something, we just don't know it yet.

"We've got all these tapes and discs going back 15 years or so. I've got this really complicated solar alarm on my house so that it's impossible to switch it off without cutting five different wires in different places simultaneously." - Marcus.
Hahaha, I love that, I can just see him rigging it up.

I've always loved this quote because I could never figure out exactly what they mean by that. The closest I've got to understanding it is how many 80's videos were mostly the same, with the hair bands and such. What this has to do with bocuma is how the melody keeps repeating... yet something beautiful is underneath it. Something that you don't get the first time. Don't know how that second part fits in, but oh well, just speculation. Is Bocuma perhaps named after Bochum Welt? It sounds very 'Bochummy'![]()
"Sorry, I'm afraid not... It's an abbreviation/crossover of Boc Maxima and Documa, an obscure reference to 80's video culture."

Yeah, I decided that the "I have acid memories" joke is kind of played out for the present.... so I changed the subject.
