Don't know that I can relate to the pitch changing, but I have definitely experienced the faster/slower perception of familiar music. I've always taken it to be that when I'm tired and not processing as well music seems to be flowing by much more quickly, whereas when I used to smoke a bit years ago my perception would be heightened enough to where my brain was processing the events faster, leading me to perceive them as unfolding by more slowly in my timeline.

For instance, go ride a bicycle really heavily to a fast paced track until your heart rate is up, continue for half the duration, then stop and wait 15 seconds. It'll make this sound like this.

Next time, right when you wake up after a long, good night of sleep, listen to a song you know really well right away. The opposite happens in that case, it should sound faster as you've not had any activity yet during the day.

Don't worry! I've experienced similar stuff. Once I listened to lotus flower by radiohead and I could of swore it was in the 140 bpm range instead of 120. It really freaked me out.

Ok so, I've listened to this album so many times I lost count. But, recently I have noticed that the songs seemed to be more slightly high pitched and kind of more faster, I'm not sure if it always sounded like this my ears didn't notice, but it's kind of ruined the whole album for me since I prefered it like how I first listened to it. Is my ears fucking up or was it fucking up before? I want to listen to how I originally was without having to edit them.

Their other albums are completely fine and how I remember them, just this one has a higher pitch. I also searched it on youtube to find the exact same versions just with a higher pitch.

I ride my Fuji road bicycle on the 8 mile trail/road at the park and had never had this happen and I get at some really good speeds while riding while listening to music.

I have slept to The CampFire Headphase loads of times and it never changed. But, I can sometimes be tired throughout an entire day and maybe it just sounded slowed down because I was tired most of time while listening?

Are you getting those speeds via resistance? Also, do you stand up sometimes during your ride?

I guess it can depend on the person, but that's really strange if you've never experienced it. Most people I've talked to have.

It was the follow-up to what is arguably their most intricate and meaningful album, and it disappointed a lot of people, that's why.

Not me, I really enjoy most of TCH, but I can acknowledge it was a step down from Geogaddi.

Assholes the lot of you. I'm listening to my Japanese copy of TCHP purely by suggestion. I had really been trying to avoid listening to them.
