I'm picturing them making ships in a bottle, but with cannonball holes, tattered sails, and wood in a state of advanced decay covered in moss and barnacles.
Im thinkin they got totally addicted to World of Warcraft.

I'm fairly sure I will be sticking with my current one.

Personally I hope they don't release anything for a long time if ever. Their lack of recent releases suggests to me that they've just stopped doing music to such an extent and got on with other things in their lives such as family. If they were to release anything it would most likely dissapoint at this moment in time as I doubt very much that they are still the same innocent personalities that they were when they made their best stuff.
There's also the bigger issue of "How do you top Geogadd"?

The most likely scenario is that someone else steps into their shoes and drops a BoC like bomb on the music scene.

Its funny, a few weeks ago I was on the edge of my seat expecting something any day.

Now... I just really dont care anymore? Fuck it, man. Bands stop making music sometime.

Yeah, when it happens, it happens. Although we all want the new album this year, I don't see it being released till next year. Just a gut feeling.

I know it's been said before, but I don't feel like going back over 170 pages. What do you think are the chances that they've already released another album under an alias?

I doubt it, that's my instinct.

Over on watmm we were discussing how they manage to release such little music and survive, as they obviously don't need to release music under BoC to pay the bills. So perhaps they do a lot of background work, mastering, production etc etc. Who knows?

There is a chance they might be remixing under a different alias, perhaps releasing the odd 12", but a whole album? I doubt it very much, but I could be wrong.

It all depends on the deals they have signed with Warp. A lot of record companies wouldn't allow it to happen but with Warp who knows? They very well let them go off and release music with a different company. As long as the big BoC album is guarranteed, then maybe.

I found this track, they are from Glasgow, if they were from Edinburgh then I would be a bit more suspicious. Ltd to 300 vinyl.

With BoC you never can tell.

That track was totally solid regardless.

That's what I was going to also say in my previous post. I don't know insider record industry biz and how tight they're locked into their contract with Warp and how hard it is to circumvent these things.

Anyone know how many more LPs they owe Warp?

im 99% sure the brothers have regular jobs. i really doubt they can make a living without releasing music or touring. that's probably what's holding the album back too.
