My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

That's right, boys, girls, men, women.. but mostly men aged 13-18 and 18-24, it's My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

Similar to the way that Disney movies are for everyone, not just little girls, this show has a target audience of every age, gender, and whatever else you could think of.

It's just.. a good show.

any other bronies/pega-sis out there?

This toon shows how real friendship and almost perfect world could be and how ugly and violent the real life is :cry:

watched the entire first season. voluntarily. it's a good cartoon. the fans drive me nuts though.

yeah, some of them are a little obnoxious/hardcore, lol

i just watch it with my roommate every saturday, we order a pizza
just for kicks, we tell them in the special order thing to draw one of the "mane" six (hohoho) on the box.

You know, you might want to change the age group a bit. 18-34 is probably a bit more accurate.

The appeal is that it's supposed to be a show for 6 year old girls.

Which makes being a 26 year old man and watching the show interesting.

At least, that's what it really seems like to me.

it's a little more mature than for 6 year olds. it's got a fair bit of adult-ish humor in there, too (not sexual double entendres or anything, but enough humor in it to justify a 16+ year old watching and laughing at least occasionally). and remember shows like Ed, Edd & Eddy? Powerpuff Girls (bad example, meh)? Foster's home for imaginary friends (..). it's got A LOT of the same people working on it.

and sure, a lot of the fans take it way too overboard. i'm not one of those 30 year old man children that's dressing up in pony cosplay and having fucking fantasies about the show

i'm just an 18 year old that occasionally watches the show with my 19 year old roommate that got into it (after putting up with much skepticism from me), that, upon watching it for the first time, realized it's really not a bad show, and it's not just a kid's show.

just another little way to unwind after so much school and work.

Yes, I remember those shows. I don't think though that they've ever had as large of a following as this has.

I admire the upfront nature you have about this. Whether it's satirical or serious, any man who says "I'd love to live in Ponyville!" probably deserves some respect for actually willing to speak what has previously not been the common opinion despite the fact they may be mocked.

just try an episode

i recommend bridle gossip or the first two episodes of season 2.
(the buildup during episode one of season 2 will kinda have you like "ehh..." but you'll get over it after a little bit)
