I can still remember coming home from school and crashing to some video show on tv. This song came on and started to get into my dream, I forced myself awake because it was so good.

it was a while before music did that to me again once the grunge thing hit. Then came Future Sound of London - Papua New Guinea, Chicane - Saltwater, Bent - Exercise 4 and Magic Love.

The first time that ever happened to me though I was 8 years old and my uncle came home with this record, he said I heard this song in the store and had to buy it. It was Abba's Dancing Queen. I about fell over. I still consider Abba the greatest pop group of all time. (I think of the Beatles as more of a Rock band) They are in fact the 2nd best selling group of all time and the 5th greatest once you include solo performers such as Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley.

You know, it'd be cool if this were a "songs that you didn't care for on first listen but that grew on you so much over time" thread, so I could post The Fragile by NIN and Windowlicker by Aphex Twin.

Seems kind of...plain, to me at least.

The RDJ Album felt more interesting IMO.

Well i don't think it's his best release , but it's the first i heard by him. Back in the day i had lend this from the local library based on the cover.
But not long after i guess I saw the Windowlicker video and that's probably when my jaw dropped.
