Do not take this wrong, but I think that myspace.com is 10 times more popular in The States then anywhere else in the world, America has some pretty trendy shit over here, and myspace.com has been talked about on Jay Lenno, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmle, The Today Show and some other bullshit talk shows/tv shows on the tv. If I am wrong, let me know. Is it really popular where you guys live too? I know I have a myspace account too, I also have 3 bands on there, for Cincinnati to see, thats why sometimes I can't really talk, but I am not into it like other people are, doing shitty tests and chain letters and OOOOOOOOOOO rate my pic please!!!! Fuck that. I wish there was somewhere else to promote JUST music for free.

There has to be some legitimance to the B.o.C myspace if they are being linked to
by the giant Fox owned corporation that MySpace is.
Its not like they go through and pick random bands and advertise them.
Im 98 percent sure it costs money to get an ad up on myspace, takeing into consideration that it is the largest web community in the world.
They wouldnt advertise a fan made page because that would go against myspaces copyright laws..

ISawDrones is definitely right. It's very simple if you think about it. It is illegal to advertise a bands material without having any real solid connection to the band or their label! No little fan is running that page. It's gotta be a friend of BoC's maybe, or warp records....or even mike and marc. Either way, it's legit in some way folks. I've got a warm feeling it's the queers at warp records
Anyway, I'm stoked that page is up there. It's been discussed already but that magical BOC page is reaching new fans that wouldn't normally get the chance without the media tyrant known as myspace. Kudos to whomever runs it, thanks for spreading some good tunes.

Also, a few people have been in disbelief because it seems they have only been around since 05. BUT, I have noticed that the page was created not too long before the campfire headphase came out. I think The site was initially made to advertise and promote the campfire headphase. Which further leads me to believe warp records staff is behind the making of the site for commercial purposes.monochrome wrote:It says they've been a member since september 05. I don't think its really Boc, but then why are they advertising it if it's not?
ANYWAY. Now that i know the site is legit ( in one way or another, im not saying michael and marcus sit around drinking beers...myspacing around for fun ) But I never added them or sent messages because i thought it purely a dick around fan page. I know nobody has really recieved a response from that site yet but I'll give it a whirl anyway, maybe some others should as well.

I kind of doubt that Mike or Marcus has much to do with it, I'm inclined to think its those queers at warp but who knows. Although abeautifulplace seems like a url a fan would pick, or maybe BoC but not the warp people. It does however have the same minimalistic qualities as their website. Maybe Mike and Marcus just sit around all day refreshing their page and reading the comments...
Also, "1 2 3 4,Cut yourself off, pull the shutters down" seems like an odd quote to put up after making a Myspace page...
