everyone think that population limitation is so inhumane and disgusting (a la China), but it might seriously be necessary.

i dunno, maybe a hefty tax on anyone that chooses to have a second baby? might make it difficult on a rather fertile young single mother that can't afford the fact that she got pregnant or that tax, though.. :\

Sadly, I think there might be a more 'natural' solution. A pandemic? A War of some sort? Who knows. Whatever, it's terrifying.

You know, I've seen this video series pop up numerous times throughout my research on youtube, but have yet to watch it. Looks like today is the day.

Population control is definitely on the docket. Many say that they see China's model as the best fit. This is a pretty serious part of the puzzle as to our situation here on Earth. I've heard it said that it's no big deal. That if we gathered everyone up we could easily fit them into Paris (which I saw in one of the videos), but that's the least likely scenario I've ever heard and does not take into account how much each of us individually consume.

Mexicola, you are right about gradual acceptance. As we grow more in consciousness and awareness, I'm sure the world will looking NOTHING like it does today by the end of the century... which hopefully will be for the better.

nothing we do is sustainable.

Even if we colonized , the problem would follow us.
Just like Agent smith said in the matrix......we are like a virus. we consume all natural resources until we have to move somewhere else and start the process all over again.

Funny how space programmes have been abandoned. Doesn't seem to be much money being put into the lightspeed travel that we need to even get to the nearest star.
It took voyager 30 years to flyby pluto. Travelling at its current speed , it would take 100,000 years to reach the nearest star apparently.

But no , we'll fight wars , tribe against tribe , nation against nation , marvelling at how evolved and technological we've become.

It seems a child has more sense than the governments that "purport" to lead us
