My favourite HAS TO BE the soundtrack to Monster by BT. The Bus Stop and Courtroom are so great!!!

My second favourite is Morvern Callar because it has Boards of Canada.

John Barry is one of my favourite soundtrack composers, just like Ennio Morricone and Lalo Schifrin, Angelo Badalamenti, Nino Rota etc.

I think it's almost impossible to say what's your favourite soundtrack because their are just so many. But here's one: "Brokeback Mountain" soundtrack from "Gustavo Santaollala".

Waking life (nice and disorienting and couldn't fit any better)

Spirited away (Japaneeeeeeez)

Fight-Club (soo nineties with the chemical brother kinda feel)

-Angels Of America_Thomas Newman [a very realistic view of the '80s in the US]
-Carnivale_Jeff Beal [a very good tv serie, underrated]
-Love Is The Devil_Ryuichi Sakamoto [the life of Francis Bacon]
-The Straight Story_Angelo Badalamenti [ a David Lynch movie that's not creepy]
-Taxi Driver_Bernard Herrman [Robert De Niro's best movie with a fantastic jazzy score, listen to it on vinyl]

My favorite film soundtrack ever, as well as my favorite album ever, is the soundtrack to 'For All Mankind' by Brian Eno. In album format it appears as 'Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks'. Unbelievably, heartrendingly gorgeous work; takes me on an aural journey that <i>no</i> other piece of music can match... A landmark in every sense of the word.

Lost in Translation is so fantastic. And the Royal Tenenbaums has a really nice soundtrack too.

I always enjoyed The Last House on the Left soundtrack...different for a horror movie. But I really love anything Angelo Badalamenti did for David Lynch, esp. Blue Velvet or Twin Peaks. Last but not least the Dead Man soundtrack, by Neil Young.

Okay getting Trainspotting (because it is in caps) and Requiem for a dream (because alot of people are saying that).

Anyone know any good songs NOT AMBIENT that have crazy instruments? Like Friends, Lovers, and Family - 20 Camels, Vibrasphere - Manzanilla, etc>? Thanks.
