Absolutely the reason I bought it, it's so light and pretty powerful as well. I have a really nice desktop but wanted something portable but didn't want to splash out too much - this was the perfect option

1.66 ghz Dual Core and 1gb RAM - gonna install the max 2gb though when i have the spare cash.

Tickets to the theater. I saw Jack and Jill with my family.

Quick review: worst film I've seen in at least two years. Avoid. Avoid like the plague.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

I just bought a 2TB USB3.0 external drive for $150. I'm kicking myself for not getting one earlier. If I bought one a month or two ago I could've gotten a 3TB USB3.0 drive for the same price. Oh well, 2TB is plenty.

Don't, they are extremely cheap as in material and very poorly made. It's a toy. If you're going for small portable synths get an Akai Miniak, M-Audio Venom Synthesizer or the original Micro Korg which is also cheaply made though, they're all in that same price range... The new Micro Korg XL is awful and lacks a lot of control. We had one in our studio and it was a nightmare to control, not to mention it's flimsy plastic body.

This thing is pretty fucking cool, well built, better condenser mic and cheaper in price:

Well shit. I just found out that the person who was going to pick this thing up from the music store for me had already purchased the XL.

God damn it. I really wish I hadn't posted this now because I can't even feel optimistic about the thing anymore.

Maybe I can return it...

That sucks. Sorry, I didn't mean to get ya down. I'm sure you'll find it useful if you can't return it. But if you can return it, do so. Don't open it, just take it back, exchange it for that miniak or something else and you'll have some money left over too for something else

re: microkorg XL
I haven't had any problems with mine; the keys are ... peculiar but that's about it. not like bad, but just not hammer action and not synth action and not waterfall action, something entirely different that i'm pretty sure I'm not a fan of. I generally just control it with a midikeyboard now. the sounds are pretty nice and very reliably tweakable.

I purchased the Akai APC40. I'm really excited to get my hands on this. Unfortunately, when I ordered it they just went out of stock. So now I have to wait a few extra weeks before I get it. Oh well, at least I got it on sale. It's usually $309, I got it for $249.

So I've been playing around with my Microkorg and holy shit is it awesome. I'm not having any trouble with it at all so far.

It does, like was said, feel like it's cheaply made though. It's like the knobs are going to snap off at any time and the case is made out of plastic.

However, the sounds are great. I'm going to have to take really good care of it to make sure it doesn't break but so far so good.
