GENERAL NEW RELEASE SPECULATION TOPIC
Moderators: Aesthetics, Drones, Hexagon Sun
I dream of a box that is no longer black, and filled with shapes and forms.
So I could not help but bother warp so I sent them an email asking if BoC will make any more music and Charles Damga replied:
"You'll know as soon as we do.
Thanks for the support"
Shortest email reply I've ever recieved but there you go, it does not look good in my opinion, like they have no clue themselves...

They'll probably be more elated!ZosoCon wrote:once the new album comes out, all the black box haters/negative nancies are going to be just as giddy as the rest of us. and there will be much rejoicing once vinyls of all major BoC releases are reissued soon there after. too much to ask?
I think deep down we all know this is the year. It HAS to be.

I think the activity on BoC's YouTube channel is a good sign. It's also interesting that an official Hell Interface YouTube channel has linked up with the BoC channel. Could there be some new Hell Interface remixes in the works? I wonder why they only linked to BoC's official channel last year since the Hell Interface channel has apparently existed since early 2006.

Thanks for the heads up on the Hell Interface linking. I've updated http://bocpages.org/wiki/Websites to reflect this.SonicDimension wrote:I think the activity on BoC's YouTube channel is a good sign. It's also great they've featured that insanely beautiful Buckie High video on their front page.
And obviously I'm still honoured to see bocpages.org being linked as well!

Re: what
I'm sorry, I may be missing something here, but what is a "Live Track recorded from the board?"PlacentaSand wrote: ?
Re: what
The mixing desk of a venue that controls levels and the venue's PA can be used to go straight to a recording device and getting the pure signal, instead of using a microphone and picking up background noise, crowd chatter etcsaturdayindex wrote:I'm sorry, I may be missing something here, but what is a "Live Track recorded from the board?"PlacentaSand wrote: ?
Hey there, lads. I think the guys are kind of done with BoC, but I'm right there with you hoping they're gonna latch on to the 2012 hype in some way and release something. If they don't, however, I think it's gonna be the end of any real expectations on my part.
It's probably better that way. I could use a good surprise down the road, and there's always plenty of new music to look forward to, especially from all those who've been inspired by Boards of Canada.
I love you all. Keep making music.
