Fan-made (unofficial) BoC videos
Moderators: Aesthetics, Drones, Hexagon Sun
Whaaaaaaaat... I'm sort of a demoscener myself, never knew about this demo. Amazing, great use of the SID chip especially on the drums. Very good demo otherwise too, I'm always been a fan of minimalism and use of text/fonts as a visual medium.celadon wrote:Thought this was interesting. Sorry if this is up elsewhere.

That's really some tight work right there. Very nice indeed!noby wrote:Whaaaaaaaat... I'm sort of a demoscener myself, never knew about this demo. I just made this, I can understand if you guys think it's generic or trivial but I saw that footage in a video about hippies in Amsterdam in the seventies and I immediatly knew I had to combine it with Corsair, especially the guy sitting at the pond meditating.

I did a few searches and couldn't see that anyone has posted this one yet. Its probably the best one I have ever seen

Its so good, it might even be better then an official video.

This one seems really well edited. This video made me appreciate Dawn Chorus even more.

I got introduced to Boards of Canada in high school by a guy I'd only just met and Boards is one of the only things that has stuck with me from that point in time. Back then I listened to them a lot and eventually landed on the Dayvan Cowboy video, which blew my freaking mind. That single video, coupled with all of Boards of Canada's music is what kicked my creativity into gear.
First there was drawing, then there was painting and now and forever-more there will be photography and film-making. It was only this year that I actually got my ass into gear and started to make tribute music videos to my favourite band of all time. I set up a YouTube account and now whenever I get the drive to create, I start work on a music video and don't stop until it's done.
I've mostly used more unknown tracks and while I've used a lot of stock footage, some of it, I shot myself. So here it is.

Yeah I caught that one a while ago. I honestly think it's better than most BoC music videos, maybe the fan-made Julie and Candy one comes close.Pantheon wrote:I did a few searches and couldn't see that anyone has posted this one yet. Its probably the best one I have ever seen
