Been saying this myself since I finished university in 06. Hope you have something to offer the country you immigrate to, lots of them are strict about it. Especially English speaking ones.Rodheh wrote: I'm sick of this country and its abusive nature towards the world. Some states are taking charge and utilizing the 10th amendment to nullify NDAA. It's happened in Washington and they're trying in Virginia!
This guy is pushing for it in Oregon and across the country! He does a great radio show you all should check out sometime!

I've been watching this, about the other U.S. government, the one that no one "elects".

I like that it says after 9/11 they had everything planned for the next 10 years... but let's not forget they knew about it before.

Hey guys,
Aside from being a dedicated BoC follower, I am also a journalist. And I'm writing a piece on Ron Paul for my newspaper which is called Réforme.
I've seen that some of you here were kind of passionate about him, and I'm personally very interested in the man himself, and about his rather fringe positions on many subjects.
Would some of you that voted or plan to vote for him be kind enough to answer a few questions by email? That would be of great help.
I wonder if Ron Paul likes Boards of Canada though.

For your consideration.
Purim.
First Iraq war draws to a close on Purim; After the slaughter of 150 thousand Iraqi soldiers.
Second Iraq war begins on Purim.
Libya invasion... right around Purim.
Now there is this.

Any thoughts?

Throw away your smartphone.
It is indeed a horrible, horrible idea.
What bothers me more so than the bill itself is how, yet again for the third time, people here are looked at as though we supported these politicians' nonsense and are occasionally blamed for it. I remember when I was continuously called racist for months by shitheads who hadn't even read SB1070 back when that nonsense was going down. I've gotten it a bit now from this, hope it doesn't escalate.

Now there's CISPA: basically a new sopa/pipa.
Of course, we could try and get the entire internet behind it like what happened last time (well, i don't mean "we", but you know what I mean). But, whether it works this time or not, we all know that at some point the money will keep being spent in government to get this kind of bill passed, but the people's outrage over it will fade until it gets passed.
New forms of the same bill will keep coming. Are there any other strategies we could employ? Of course "bang bang shoot 'em up john wayne rambo" isn't what I'm talking about.
There's speculation (well.. better than speculation. It's what most likely happened) that the silicon valley absolutely stuffed money into the legislature last-minute to keep sopa/pipa from passing, and it sounds like that's what really stopped the bill; not good 'ole fashioned political efficacy.
Thoughts?
