Hasn't that hexagon been around since at least the early 80's?

We are having really bad tornados where I live, and the only thing I could think of was if I die I would be sad that I did not get to hear any new Boards of Canada. Sad and true story.

Thanks. Everything is ok now, we seemed to be one of the lucky areas that wasn't hit. I think we are going to have a turbulent spring.

where are you located? we've got some pretty hectic weather over where i am, too

also, stopped by my favorite record store on my way home from work today. one of those beautiful stormy sunsets as i drove across the bay. the owner and i got to talking about bibio, j dilla..and eventually boards of canada. i found out he's a huge fan and also hasn't been able to find any vinyl. AS WE MENTION THIS, olson starts playing from his itunes; on random.

it can't be a BAD omen, right?

I'm in Louisville, Ky in the US. The whole midwest just got a crazy amount of tornados.
I do find your Olson Omen to be bit hopeful. I am always hopeful for a new album or just news in general.

Today in Britain it is a drizzly, grey afternoon. This is perfect sit in with a sketchbook and coffee, listening to Boards while staring out of the window in the warmth of your home. Perfect!

If this album(s) drops, it's gonna be played to death on days like these.

And we'll all shit ourselves because of the wait. And Warp will a cool record label again.
Again?

Wow, that's awesome! I live on the Bullitt/Jefferson border. How about you? Louisville is the biggest small town in the US so I bet we know some people in common.

To be honest, I lost a bit of respect for Warp when they signed Rustie. It's just my opinion though.

Warp are still a great label imo. Some of the indie stuff is a bit dodgy but thats just me.

Warp is still a great label - I just dont find myself drawn towards every release they bring out now, whereas in the 90's it seemed like every release simply had to be bought! All the Artificial Intelligence albums were great, for example.

It felt like there was a new CD / LP to get every few months or so. Fond memories.....

In terms of the new BOC album, we simply have to wait....
Theres lots of great music around to keep us entertained in the meantime.

The One on Twoism CDs are a good example! I'm really looking forward to number 5!
(plus its made me think - would they even have been made if it wasn't for the prolonged wait for the news of a new Boards release?).

A new Boards of Canada album would be a major release for Warp and of course ourselves!

i really wonder what the new music will sound like. the brothers are in their 40's now, right? i'd be very surprised if the new music sounds anything like their past work. i think it will still be electronic, but not completely. who knows.
