did anyone see boc reply to someones wall post on their official facebook page?
they have "appeared" to confirmed rumours of a new album in the works?

Yeah i just checked it out. Someone posted "Rumours of a new BOC album are rife ? , any truth in this ?" Boards of Canada replied "yes"

How do you guys find replies by them so easily? Even looking at their page and filtering only "posts by page" it doesn't show their replies to other people's comments.....

It took me a while to find it, they changed it to that bloody timeline wall thingy.

You can find the comment if you click on the "BOC BandPage" button at the top of the page then scroll down and read through the posts.

definitely psyched about this. I was a little skeptical about the BBC radio announcement, even though it seemed pretty legit considering Serafinowicz' relationship to boc. that and a double album really would make a lot of sense considering both the prolonged break and boc's habit of recording a lot of material for each album, even the shorter ones. but the facebook response seals the deal. this looks like it's happening for real.

all in all, 2012 is looking to be the year of boc.

I do wonder if there will be any vinyl reissues or the release of the much fabled BOC Box or maybe an anthology of all their older material...

Haha, that IS exciting but it doesn't specify when, they have allegedly been working on this album for some time, there could be another year before we see a release.

Not being pessimistic just cautious.

A wise decision. Thinking about it now they only really confirmed that people are talking about there being a new album, not there actually being one hahaa

i think the only thing i can really take from this is "there will be a new album at some point in time" which is all i need to hear. i've got plenty of years left in me ^____^
