I don't think we can 'safely assume' anything when it comes to a future BoC release.
I'll see you when the sun sets east, don't forget me.

I love Animal Collective. Their music means a lot to me. Sure, they're taken over by these "hipsters," but that doesn't change the fact that they're music is fantastic in my opinion. Judging wether music is good or not is all the matter of opinion, anyways. We dont need some ignorant "critics" telling us if an album or an artist is worth the time. That's our decision to make.
As for this thread goes, what ever happened to going outside and getting some fresh air? We all know that The Brothers don't appreciate any of this...the accusations, the lying, the speculations, the DEATH THREATS that people are making because they are having some hindering issues on their next release! I find that appalling. Im going to do something productive now, enjoy your squabble.

I've not addressed anything in this topic before, but I would like to comment on what has been said above:
On balance, a degree of fun speculation about the album itself is to be expected, however. There have been some amusing little jokey posts actually; discussion wouldn't be quite the same without them, I feel.
I'm not one for in-depth analysis of little details, but if some want to do that and provided it doesn't harm or upset anyone, I think that's alright. I don't believe that should be suppressed.
I'm pretty sure that's not what you've intended of course, it's just worth considering how your words might come across. If I had seen your post when I was first browsing here, I would've had second thoughts about joining!
It occurs that maybe we both should have avoided initially looking in this topic?
Quite so. And I'd go further; no-one in the whole bloody world, ourselves included, appreciates accusations and lies!Yellow Records wrote:We all know that The Brothers don't appreciate any of this...the accusations, the lying, the speculations

Now, this is a sad point. Nothing as awful as this has caught my eye yet - you are referring to people / someone on this very forum? In any event, good folks would agree such a terrible threat is completely out of order.the DEATH THREATS that people are making because they are having some hindering issues on their next release!
Just to be clear: if you're aiming this (and for that matter, the top quote) at a select few, maybe you should make that clear - because it could sound like you're tarring the reasonable majority of the community with the same brush and taking the high ground.Im going to do something productive now, enjoy your squabble.

This. Jesus Christ.many colored grass wrote:Nailed it. The knee-jerk pitchfork hate is ridiculous. Warp made an official statement to an established website (probably because they inquired). And it wasn't what everyone wanted to hear. Boo hoo. Atleast they are still an entity and working on music. And yes it's been almost 7 years. It sucks. Don't hold your breath. Listen to the other great music that's made everyday.ryetronics wrote:You're right. I'll wait until Warp goes to the New York Times to make their statement.rolypablo wrote:Yeah dude, it's just a website, why would warp officially go there to make any sort of announcement.
