back in early february, my roommate and i formed something of a ska/jazz band, for funsies
and it's been very fun. we're building a bit of a repertoire, too. we practice at the singer's house on fridays.

today, this one guy comes up in his car, looks like a nice enough older guy. had big blonde hair. seemed cool. knew a lot about music/recording equipment. said he heard us from up the street and came by, told us we could use his recording equipment for when we want to record songs, which is soon. seemed.. almost too nice. i assume it's the singer's neighbor.

he leaves, comes back after like 5 minutes after saying he was gonna go see what all he has. asks if any of us need a mic, hands me one, tries to give us a feedback destroyer, and really tries to give our bassist an amp case.

could be just a very nice guy that really wants to get back into dealing with music.
could be a guy trying to get us to record with him, then sell our stuff without our permission
or these could even be stolen goods, wtf.

he never gave us his name or where he lived.

like i said, i assumed the singer knew him (he was getting ready for work when the guy came back the second time). he comes out, says he's never seen him before in his life.

something feels very amiss, here.

Nice, I've been feeling like that with the stuff I'm writing at the moment, I have an idea to make it and just put all the tracks and album cover and maybe some notes into a .zip file and just host it somewhere and just leave it, lost to the internet forever...

There's something weirdly romantic about that (in a really contemporary way).
Might do that with my 30 minute long improvisation. 8)

It feels really different, obviously it's quite late on in the decade now and everyone is moving on but yeah it feels less smokey high flying NYC and more minimalistic, squeaky clean. Everyone seems different, I still love the show though, they always get better as they go on

One thing is for sure, Megan is a babe.
