...I think that this is going to be an incredible album. Considering that we've had Riceboy Sleeps,Go and Kjartan's Credo in the time since their last album, I feel like this release is going to be something warmer and more mature, more beautiful, if that's possible!

Where would one start with Sigur Ros? (I need some music)
Ágaetis Byrjun is very moody and very lovely, the untitled one is very spacious and very dark (might be my favourite but it's hard to get into it, it may take several listenings), Takk... sometimes gets as lovely as Ágaetis but the album is more compressed and therefore more pop and straightforward. You can pretty much skip the rest of their discography I think, although I'm sure I'll be flamed for saying that.
PS: Oh, you could just download the documentary Heima, it's pretty wonderful.

Ágætis Byrjun is definitely the place to begin, but Heima is also an essential. Find the biggest TV you can, darken the room and let it take you away. Sublime.
Having said all of this, 'Takk','()'...you really can't go too far wrong to be honest.

Takk... is still pretty fantastic. I can see where you're coming from with the Coldplay comparison (uplifting piano-lead melodies) but that's only one song really and there is still a huge distance between the two bands.
Kinda hoping that Valtari is going to be their "Kid A" in terms of reinvention. Riceboy Sleeps with stronger melodies and dynamics.
Ace that you guys got married (to your partners, not each other of course!) to Hoppipola. There's a slightly subversive thrill about getting great unexpected music played at a wedding. My wife threatened to unplug/ban the DJ if he put on 'The Lady In Red' at any point during the day.
