Chillaxin study music

Maybe there's a topic like this already, but I need some reccomendations for artists/songs that aren't too chaotic so I can do my homework and not sit in my room in silence. :S

anything ulrich schnauss. also bruce kaphan's slider album. brian eno's ambient stuff is good too, as long as it isn't too dark. just my thoughts

Sometimes they're a good idea. But more often then not, their music is a little too dark for my study time, but Campfire Headphase is okay for studying I've abused that album though and need to listen to something else whilst I "hit the books."

Brian Eno is sometimes nice, but sometimes it's just a little to calm. What do you mean by "too dark" for some reason Brian's work doesn't sound that dark to me. (There's a little influence of bleak, though. But not to the extent of Boards of Canada and Christ, or even Burial.)

I tend to go for something a bit hypnotic. Pantha du Prince, Blondes, The Field, Seefeel's first album "Quique", Selected Ambient Works 85-92...

check out Nick Zammuto's project Zammuto, he one half of the Books.
It different from the Books but it's still just as amazing.

Seriously speaking, I can't study to any music, except some elusive minimal techno and it actually works really well. Some dub and ambient techno with similar elements works really well too. Check out some artists under the label Tresor.
