real awesome trippy psychedelic horror film from Japan.

Also has a really cool sound track, it's all psychedelic pop and funk.

I just watched Exit Through The Gift Shop, Boys Don't Cry, and Eyes Wide Shut because I've been sick all weekend.

Safe to say that even though my throat is dying and my headache is pounding...I've been filled with some pretty inspirational and awe-inspiring films this weekend.

I watched schizopolis again. It gets me every time.

Definitly a must see if you like funny weird movies.

I also re-watched oliver stones u-turn as it impressed me allot when I was a kid. It felt like direct-to-video garbage, but the characters where still as cool as ever.

Falling Down. I felt it gave an excellent view into the madness of a man who is sick of everything he feels is wrong in the country. Go watch it, particularly if you like fairly dark humor.

Was intrigued by Oscar contender Monsieur Lazhar, a subtle film, great one and very touching despite the premise that sounded a bit predictable, the kids playing in that movie are amazing as is the main actor, I recommend it.

High Plains Drifter.

There's something specifically "BOC" in this movie for me. It's a little surreal and eerie. Filmed in 1973 so it has that kind of hazy quality. Great film (fyi it is a Clint Eastwood film).

That looks very interesting.

The Fountain is probably one of my fave films of all time. Haven't really been moved too much by film lately though, which is a bit sad.

I'll take some of these suggestions though.

Stunning French horror "Livide" from the directors of "Insides" with Beatrice Dalle.
'Livide' is fantastic. Although rather thin on plot, it's that way for a reason, paying heavy tribute to the dreamlike works of Argento and the surreal Gothic vampire films of Jean Rollin. It's lighter on the gore than "insides" and is a definite twisted fairy tail with sumptuous visuals. In a stagnating horror genre of boring "saw' like films and pointless remakes, this was a breath of fresh air. It's like Suspiria meets Silent Hill. And hell, any film that makes a direct tribute to the wonderful "Halloween 3: Season of the witch" is good in my books.

It's such a classic, there was a screening in Tottenham recently where the riots started, interesting.

Not sure what I should put on tonight, I am thinking maybe the Pianist, but it's so depressing.
