Hey all,

Not sure if this is news to anyone, but the WHOIS record for http://www.newcleardawn.com/ has been updated...

See here:

It now shows Hexagon Sun as being the registrant!!!

Thoughts?

Interesting. Upon googling New Clear Dawn, I got this:

which led me to this: http://palethrough.tumblr.com/
Maybe this guy does some of their graphic design or something. I'm not sure, you guys probably already knew all this. Anyways, from the looks of this new site, it could just be another website for the guy from the second link. Or maybe BOC is going back to their geogaddi roots(personally I hope not). Anyone else got better speculations?

"New Clear Dawn" is not something new, the site has been around and connected to BOC for a while. I've seen this Tumblr and assumed that it is nothing more than the photography of a BOC fan who took the tittle for his own art as some sort of recognition of inspiration or whatever. I see no real connection to him with the band.

uh the second one either boards at After the Post Rock or is the roommate of the lad in the photo (who is from After the Post Rock). source

I reckon that Zaff is fond of the name "New Clear Dawn" which is indeed a pretty cool name. Hence why he chose it as the title of his tumblr page.

We should not be looking for any legit affiliation with BoC here.

Only semi-related, but I noticed it seems the registration for both boardsofcanada.com and hexagonsun.com are set to expire in September of this year. They'll have to renew them, which might mean they'll go as far as updating the site.

Still, just being hopeful.

First part of the e-mail is probably encrypted or something. Whois shows the real address but hides the first part probably because of privacy reasons or something. Good luck on decrypting that though

it's like that so bots can't scrape the address and spam it, and it's also some kind of "proxy" address i'm sure. most registrars allow for "private" domain registration to some degree
